Yes and I probably would use them if I didnt already have the xikar stuff. I think boveda has come down in price too but the ultimate cost effective humidification, especially for big coolidors is the heartfelt beads from what I have read; you can buy them in bulk and then throw them in a pair of pantyhose.

@@thecigarporch4509 For a coolidor the beads are the way to go for sure! Ultimately you always want a 2 way humidification system(Beads or Boveda) so the humidity self regulates. I have 62% 65% and 69% depending on the time of year. Being winter with much cooler temps and low humidity, I'm rocking the 69% packs and they are reading about 67%, which is the upper limit of how high I like my humidity. Like you I have a humidor dedicated to Habanos.

Yes I check mine about once a week at the least and it hasnt gone over 69-70%. It could be a couple of things that may be giving you issues. Is it really cold where you live because that could cause the humidity to climb really high if your humidor is too cold. Also not sure of the beads you are using but I am noticing now that companies make them over 70% now for different application so double check you have the right type of beads. My xikar humidifiers havent given me issues but I know they are not as cheap as buying beads in bulk. Also one last thing...if you dont have any extra wood or boxes in the coolidors that may be an issue too because they help absorb and hold humidity and release when needed. Also if you coolidor isnt sealing that well(doesnt need to be perfect though) and you live in a really humid area it could be letting in a lot of humidity from outside. Btw Im no expert but I hope it helps you.

Humidor stays at about 65% humidity and the coolidor right at 70%. Both are at 74 degrees F and the coolidor still has been a great idea to this day!
