Hummingbirds I Almost Missed in Peru and EAGLE NEST

I was now looking for two more species of Hummingbirds in Peru. The Peruvian Piedtail comes to the hummingbird flowers and the hummingbird feeders at the Cock-of-the-Rock Lodge on Manu Road. The Buff-tailed Sicklebill prefers to drink from heliconia plants.
We tried to see both of these species at the Lodge and also at the Manu Biological Station without luck. At the last minute before having to leave to come home, I was able to score pictures of both of these species.
A bonus was getting to watch a juvenile Solitary Eagle (rare eagle) yelling and begging for food.

I hope to get there in the next couple years. I plan on leaving the states and am figuring out where I want to set up my forever home and travel from there. Going to see the sea 🐢 in Central America is first!
