I would say, be it a guy or a girl, deceiving someone is not ethical. Marriage was not a solution.. they wronged Numair too. !!

There are so many people in the audience who have applauded Andaleeb's father for handling the situation "maturely" earlier because he did not tell his wife or create a scene out of what happened. But it concerns me knowing that people have found that a mature reaction towards young, and what could be, naive love. I don't think any of his reactions were mature. In my opinion, if a parent was mature, they would have understood that it's normal for young people to fall for each other and facilitated them through the process to help them understand what's right and wrong (green and red flags) and redirect their focus gently and respectfully - not by forcing their own decision on them. A mature parent would have waited for their child to open up about their experience rather than shutting it down. A mature parent wouldn't threaten someone young (Moiz) like that, and rather would have given him the benefit of the doubt as well. If he was mature, he'd know that the more he goes against his daughters wishes so rudely, blatantly and harshly, then she's bound to rebel - it is not to say that parents have to agree with their children, it's to say that parents have to respectfully create boundaries and be emotionally intelligent. If he was mature, he would have understood that anybody, Islamically has a right to choose their partner and marriage can not be forced on anyone regardless of religion, and if he thought, as a father, that his daughter was making the wrong choice, then there are difficult conversations to be had and being persistent as a parent, rather than shoving personal choices down children's throats. Also mature parents trust their children, so even if he thought that this was young and naive love, then too he was wrong to assume that without properly getting to know his daughter, giving her a chance or benefit of the doubt. So much assumption and forcing has happened in this situation, along with taking charge of the entire situation without involving his wife and the daughter's mother, and suppression of real emotions, that I fail to understand how anyone can think that his reaction was mature. Sorry to say, but Andaleeb's father is one of the most immature characters in the show and if the audience thinks otherwise, then I think we have a long way to go in raising kind, emotionally intelligent, and respectful individuals and a nation.
