Subbed. I have 8 tanks myself with 2 more 125 gallons getting ready to take off. I had peacock and haps in my current 125, but rehomed 😢 and pushed to central and south american cichlids. I may do a Malawi setup again in the future.

We love that! South and Central are a lot of fun too though! We love hearing about big fish rooms! Hope you get that Malawi setup running!

I just bought my first 125 gallon aquarium and recently put in a 7 inch jaguar a 8 to 9 inch black belt cichlid a 11 inch Oscar and a 7 inch red devil and I haven't had any issues yet. I think part of the reason is cause I turned the temperature down and there really isn't any territory to take over to make aggression.

That is great advice! Temperature and territory is definitely something to look at when Mike rescapws his 210.

love the set up. Have you ever has success with a South American semi-aggressive set up in a 75? Have a few Electric blue acara and would like to add a few solo species to fill it out. Would like to try a severum and a tapajos, but would love your opinion or suggestions. Shout out from the DMV.
@CichPsyche5 ай бұрын
For sure! We both have kept our electric blue acara’s with other semi-aggressive in a 75. Green-Terrors, Severums, and different types of Geos not just tapajos should work. I’m sure you know, we say that knowing that any of those could be buttheads because regardless of mild, semi, or aggressive can depend on the individual fish! Appreciate the love though!

Thanks for reply and for the content. I get that nothing is guaranteed. I guess my hold up is not knowing how many I can handle. I run an fx4 and have 4 Adult EBA, If I got a Severum, what else could I handle as far as numbers? Thanks again. @@CichPsyche
@CichPsyche5 ай бұрын
At least a few tapajos…if you’re concern is filtration, which an FX4 should be plenty, you could think about adding a Sicce Tidal 55/75 (HOB) and you’d be more than good. They good thing about the tapajos is that they tend to stay towards the bottom and the EBAs and Severums stay more to the middle or top of the tank.
