For the amount of dirt still coming out of that rug the back needs to be cleaned. And cleaning all the dirty water should be cleaned away more often. It just keeps running back on the rug.

I've never cleaned a rug before professionally. I think this is a decent video and thanks for posting. However, I've watched countless other videos. May I suggest that you: 1. Keep the dirty water from running back into the rug 2. Clean the back of the rug (if you didn't) 3. Consider angling your squeegee/water brush in a way that it doesn't create water on both sides. Hard to explain but so the excess water is coming out of the side you're going to squeegee next instead of both sides; making you have to back to the side you just did.

I've taken rugs like this to a car wash Yes you have to wash the front and back. If a smokers rug looks like this, just imagine what your lungs look like, you ain't gonna clean those. I would collect rainwater to save money on my water bill... Good job on the rug !!

Please explain why he uses the centrifical force on the mat while it is still wet and dirty. Isn't he basically leaving the dirt solids in the mat and squeezing the water out? Doesn't that make it harder to clean?

Probably best to first wash the back cos if you wash only from the top, the dirt can get pushed deeper into the pile. Power wash or power rinse from bottom side, then it make it easier to wash out dirt as you dislodged from the pile.

He actually had the pump under the rug so the water pressure was actually bringing up the dirt hense the multiple scraping cause of the pump bring up the dirt. So no need to flip the rug. Excellent color on the rug after cleaning!

I was a smoker and have 2 housebroken dogs. Even though I don't have a setup like this I clean my rugs at least twice a year. Around the holidays I use my carpet cleaning machine. In the summer my husband hangs them over the porch rail and I spray them with oxi solution and detergent from a garden sprayer, then use my pressure washer. They are good rugs that this type of cleaning has never damaged. I feel when things get to a point where I believe they are not as good as they should be I will either get clean or get it in the trash. I have been lucky. Haven't had to toss anything yet.

I wouldn't let you clean my windows pal, back of the rug, front of the rug at least 4 times and it should be raised off the floor when you finish hosing with water and then you'll see that dirt coming out, do a little research into your job and it probably make things easier for you 🤔🥴🇬🇧

Friends of my parents were very heavy smokers and when they died, not of cancer, the new owners of their house not only threw out all the carpets but they had to replace all the floor boards, ceilings and stripped the plaster off the walls such was the impregnated smell throughout the whole house. The house was totally gutted to get rid of the smell.

They do wash the back when they roll it up and place it in a giant washing machine. The drier is also huge tubular slow to finish. This is just the stain removal.

This video gave me the worst anxiety!!! Not one time did you wash the filth off the floor in between rinses so dirty water ran back into the carpet. There didn’t seem to be any care taken...seemed to be just get it done I have other things to do. The back of the carpet needed to be cleaned also. We did not see that. It would be a total thumbs down for for me. I don’t think I will be watching any more of your videos.

Sorry so many people gave you a hard time about this cleaning...apparently it hasn't occurred to them that you cannot spend an entire day doing one rug. This thing is so much better than I ever could have imagined it would be. You did a good job!

This was not the regular guy who cleans the carpets. You can tell the difference in the approach. Normally it’s meticulous and very exact in the delivery of the cleaning process. This was not. I found myself frustrated watching this one lol! Bring back the regular guy! He fulfills my OCD! Ha!
