The boy, who took care of pigs, set forth to try his luck. Overcoming his laziness and greediness he got to the royal palace. With the help of the animals, whom he met with on his way, he gained the princess’s hand.

The makers used the decorative art of a certain countryside region at each episode. The trio of folk art, folk music and folk tales are masterfully combined in the episodes, which have unique imagery, sometimes spicy folk humor in the dialogues. Thanks to the natural presentation of the storytellers, and the music of the Kaláka band, the viewer can experience something unique and special.

moral of the story: desperate times shows a man's true worth. success is for those who can take risks. it pays to have good friends. and lastly, be wary what you keep close to your heart.

I wonder if it's the same story with slight variations due to where the story originated in Hungry. Like the "secret game" and how the secret (story) changes from one person to the next.

The moment where she saw that he was behind the sun was so creepy. I was like "oh shet... he can't hide from her, can he.."

I thought "Wow what a nice king to greet his guests at the gate." But then it switched to "Oh yeah, and if you fail at hiding yourself, I'm going to decapitate you like every other suitor." Brutal.

She does seem to love beheadings. She picks the head of a rose everyday and assists in the beheading of her would be suitors.

I like to think the foxes in the folk tale are just the same fox at different parts of his life. The reason he comes back when he dies is because he’s immortal or comes back in reincarnations. Its not a flawless theory, but it’s a fun way to view the stories.

She twirled once activated her sharingan but didnt see him Then she twirled twice activated her mangekio sharingan but still didnt see him Then her father the hokage said "twirl again" she twirled again activated her rinnegan and byakugan at the same time but still didnt see him Than the swine wisperer used his mokuton and using the first hokage deep forest bloom turned from rose back to a human and the princess said "not even my doujutsu could tell the real from the clone it is my loss this time i will marry you" then the swine whisperer tiped his fedora hat and said "yare yare daze" Hokage "NANI!!!"

the swine herd had 2 apples on bedside table, when he woke up for day 1 of hide n seek. hence indirectly conveying that, for everyone, who participates in the hide n seek game, gets a place to stay and food to eat for free. for 3 days. i mean, if they fail, those 3 days were their last days right? so a free room and free food is the least the king could provide, before going all red queen on the poor lads -off with their heads-

Every magical creature that helped him probably also did the communication. Like when the princess yells out "come out of there, come out of here" the dove or fish or fox went like "she found u mate, it's done, let's wrap things up here and leave to the castle!".

Well that was rude. I love this art style. This is folk art. You know because it’s a folk story. It has its own unique style to it. If it’s not for you it’s not for you. But don’t expect people to change their art style just because you don’t like it
