Hungarian Folk Tales

Күн бұрын

The Hungarian Folk Tales stem from original folktale collections, every episode has its special authentic ornamentation. The trio of folk art, folk music and folk tales are masterfully combined in the episodes.
Subscribe:
/ @hungarianfolktales
A poor fisherman, instead of a fish, nets a round stone. He takes it home to his children, and it grows bright into a diamond. They take it to the king as a gift. The reward comes about, as well, and the rich neighbour is also reprimanded.
Made by the Kecskemét Film Studio.
Directed by: Mária Horváth
Storyteller: Gyula Szabó
Music: Kaláka band
The makers used the decorative art of a certain countryside region at each episode. The trio of folk art, folk music and folk tales are masterfully combined in the episodes, which have unique imagery, sometimes spicy folk humor in the dialogues. Thanks to the natural presentation of the storytellers, and the music of the Kaláka band, the viewer can experience something unique and special.

So a rich man got arrested because of a joke that the poor man said to him? That's nice
@matthewcardoza1190
@matthewcardoza1190 3 ай бұрын
No, he was arrested because he caused a disturbance in the palace by releasing cats everywhere. And the reason the poor brother pranked the rich one was because the latter never once helped or aided his poor sibling; instead hoarding his wealth and leaving his brother, nephews and nieces to suffer. Simply put, the rich man was punished for his greed and selfishness.

Leilani Druni I thought so as well; it would explain why the fisherman found it in the sea, and how it became brighter as it was rolled around; all the algae and sea grime was being rubbed off in the process. So yes, it was most likely a giant pearl rather than a diamond.

@TheStaffmaster The pun would be to get a cat-in-a-bag. How can I explain it it's like when someone tells you that they will sell you and iphone x or sm and you buy it but than you get a brick instead. You would than say that you got a cat in a bag. I live in Croatia and Hungarians are our neighbours and I actually live very close to the border. So yeah a big pun indeed. Even better you can also say cat sacked.

for most people, it's either be rich in children or rich in money. a minority will have both and they will be the most blessed unless they put their money before their children. Children are a gift.
@jadeheart4587
@jadeheart4587 5 жыл бұрын
simple really, if you have a lot of children, you have a lot of free labor workers to help you! also you forget that contraception wasn't very widely available to the exreamly poor either also also, it was very likely that your children would die early, especially if you where poor and not very able to take care if yourself or your family. so in order combat that, people would have lots of kids and hope that at least one or two of them would make it into adulthood. some animals do a similar process at well to this too. quite a lot of factors go into why poor people tend to have lots of kids really, it's not all just selfish reasoning
@G33KN3rd
@G33KN3rd 5 жыл бұрын
@@jadeheart4587 that's right little lady, you can also factor that in today as well. Imagine you had 4 kids and each kid had a minimum wage job. Let's say $10/h cuz easier calculation. 10(wage) * 20 (hours a week) * 4(typical weeks in a month) = $800 $800 * 4 = $3200. If each kid gave you $250 as their "parental rent", that's $1000 bucks a month extra for the entire household. That's not even mentioning that taking out the $250 will leave them with $550 at $6,600 a year. So in two years time, they'll have enough money to get an associates degree from college or even start a business.

She wanted to know what was in the attic and of course all of us kids were like... we'll check it out gramdmuh, but she wouldn't let us. So she called the police and the police run up in the attic and when they came back down, they came with multiple garbage bags full of cash. And guess what? We didn't get to keep a dime of it. We still starved, dusty, durty, ext.
