Hungary Is Locking Up Migrants In Shipping Containers To Stop Border Crossings (HBO)

5 жыл бұрынA new law in Hungary sends a clear message to would-be-border crossers: Don’t even try.
The tough, new measure gives border authorities the power to detain asylum-seekers indefinitely and house them in converted shipping containers until their cases are heard. The country’s hardline Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, says it’ll save Europe. But the U.N. says it’s illegal.
At the height of the refugee crisis in 2015, as many as 13,000 people crossed the border in Hungary everyday. But now, few succeed. Currently, at least 8,000 refugees and migrants are stuck in Serbian camps waiting to cross into Hungary, which only allows 10 people per day to enter legally.

@Christopher Fairfield. The whole west world has no guns, but we have free health care and free education. At least most countries do and definitely almost all of Europe. How is this a communist dream? You are ignorant and completely misinformed. You keep your guns while we don't have to sell our house or pay 80000 euros for a 3 day stay at the hospital and on top of that we send our kids to college for free. Where we don't have to take bank loans to educate ourselves and don't have to worry about sickos shooting at us. I feel bad for whoever thinks like you because you will never get our of the gutter. The American dream sounds like the worst nightmare.

Hungary... One of the only countries that gets it. I’ll joking aside, the thing that bothers me the most is that these people constantly say, “these people are starving… It’s your responsibility to help them… How come you just don’t help them…“? Then you ask them, “OK… Will you please let them into your personal home? Will you please give them your food, will you house them, clothe them, give money for the education of their children, let them endlessly mooch all of your personal resources?” It seems like every time you ask a person this question, they just walk away.

no.they just corrected the mistake in the sentence. The guy basically said that if they (immigrants) cross the fence and they get caught they (border patrol) take them to the nearest gates and they push them back to Hungary. That sentence makes no sense. That's why they changed it in the subtitles. I don't know if you are stupid or you're intentionally misunderstanding the situation. I hope it's the first.

@@AmbrusFodor I hope you know, that the fence is not directly on the borderline itself. It is a few meters within the border of Hungary. So when he said, that they push them back into hungatian territory, he wasn't mistaken. He just wanted to express, that despite what the media says, they are not breaking any international rules, when they push them back, beacuse they are still on hungarian soil. And beacuse Vice is so biased, they translated it wrong, so they can make the border guards look bad. Have a nice day!

Saudi Arabia did make thousands of camps with air conditioning (not sure about supplies) but the migrants did not want to go there as there are little to no welfare. They were in a tough situation at the time but they also took this chance to exploit the European kindness and welfare, maybe taking this chance to try to incorporate themselves into their country but not assimilate with their culture or with their way of life. The Iranians just want freedom. Iran is a very tight fisted country and there are little freedoms under their law despite being Low conflict. Recent documentaries show that their people are not much different from modern countries other than the few extremists and the fact their government is instilling hatred towards America into their children.

@@angsern8455 THE AC CAMPS ARE FOR PEOPLE VISITING THE MECCA & NOT BUILT FOR REFUGEES. SAUDI ARABIA TOOK ONLY 12 REFUGEES ITS THE MOST RACIST SICKULAR COUNTRY ON EARTH TALKING ABOUT HUMAN RIGHTS

Can you imagine how those containers must smell? Anyway, according to their Koran, everything that happens is the will of Allah. So they should blame Allah.
