I'm hoping francis lawrence also delivers and I think he will. His adaptation of Catching fire was the most accurate book to movie translation I've seen. I just wished he had directed the 1st hunger games book too. So excited to see this!

What book did you even read? Because I genuinely don’t understand how you can read that book and think they he was framed in a kinder way… like what? We could see from his thoughts that he was nasty since the start, the stuff he was thinking a lot of the time showed how awful he is

@@clover2739 they definitely didn't change his mentality or sinister nature but they characterize him in a way that essentially says he is a product of his environment, erasing the notion that snow from the original books was a malevolent evil. I should rephrase my comment about the book's quality bc it wasn't bad, but I just didn't like it for this reason.

@@bonaparte6431 I still disagree with that as well, was he really a product of his environment? Not really. Cause I’m fact a lot of people he surrounded himself with, especially the closest to him technically we’re good people with the right values and Snow had plenty of chance and push to do the right things and he didn’t do them. His actions were purely his own, he didn’t need to do what he did at all. Like he was so close to Tigress, Sejanus was his ‘best friend’ and he acted like he loved Lucy Gray (obviously it was possession not love) and all of these people were for being kind and doing the right thing. Snow wasn’t like that, even when he acted otherwise in front of them, inside his head would be a different story. Not even that, other people in his class that he was closer to had views of being kinder but Snow was who he always was. To me I don’t think it was a product of circumstance, his need for power and reputation was his main driving force and goal through the whole thing, no matter who it destroyed in his way.

I listened to the audiobooks as well but I think it’s easy to miss things because snow talks about himself like he’s a good person if that makes sense? It’s like how I see a lot of reviews complain about the love story, when it wasn’t a love story and how Snow didn’t actually love Lucy Gray since it was again about power and ownership and he talked about her like something he owned like an object or pet that he managed to drop easily for power, but people think it’s actual love even with all the proof otherwise because snow says himself it’s ‘love’
