The fish literally directed itself into the belly. That bird has an amazing anatomy to be able to swallow a live fish that big.

Video really shows how much bigger the openings to their throats actually are on these birds. At first, you wonder how do they do it...until you see how far down the neck those pouches attached to their beaks go. Excellent job capturing this moment.

Wow! It was my first time diving with a pelican. Just before it hit the water's surface, its body was in a straight line and it looked beautiful. The big fish must have been delicious.👀😲🎉

My concern is ... could the fish be alive in the pelican's stomach. I don't expect the fish to die the moment it lands in the pelican's stomach. Probably some minutes later, such that the pelican stands the risk of losing some of Its intestines to the fish.
