I know you will find the perfect home for you, Greg, and your Beehive! We moved at the end of August to our forever/future retirement home and none of the rooms were big enough for a sewing room so I ended up with 2! A main sewing room and another for storage, my Sweet 16, and another table where I can sandwich quilts. It was a good compromise. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving and continue to stay safe.

You will love being closer to your children and grandchildren, to be near enough to have family dinners, or pop over for visits....Your Hive will be lovely wherever you resurrect it! Just another adventure to have a new space to set up for stitching! Would love to see your project boxes, but don't create more stress yourself. And Thx for showing your HOME pillow front...now I want to order it.

Hi, Anna. We just moved from a 2 story to a 1 story house in August. Deciding what to "pack" away for a longer time and what to "leave out" (or be able to get to easier) was a process, but - you are right - by limiting your choices of projects to work on, you really can focus and make good progress. Please go a quilt WIP and Kit Parade!! I did a WIP/KIT Parade of my quilting, cross stitch and counted canvas work projects for my one year FlossTube anniversary in May 2020. I have a playlist of those 10 videos that it took for me to go through everything! Ha-ha! So, don't be embarrassed. :) Seeing and touching all of your projects again will likely re-ignite your passion for some and get you thinking about how you can finish others. (For example, I had two quilt projects I had partially cut out and made a handful of blocks on. I wasn't keen on continuing to make big quilts using those patterns. So, I freed up the fabric from one to make a baby quilt for a cousin and decided to make the other project into a table runner. I'm so happy those projects are no longer filling me with dread and guilt.) Have you and G considered building a new home? Or renting a home until you find one to buy? Happy stitching and quilting! -- Becca Klash in Georgia

Dare, dare! Another thing you and G need to be thinking about and planning, is the intro to your future Quilt Roadie videos. I have always loved the current one, of the streets of Sisters, with G's music, you need to plan the next one for the Portland area. I feel like I am waiting for season 2 of my favorite show, anticipating what your next beehive is going to be, I'm so excited! My she shed doesn't have a bathroom, I have to walk across my garden area to the house, I guess I will have to strap on a depends if it gets to be a problem as I age 😆!

We are locking down in Illinois again to, no dine in, only carry out. They have been allowing carry out cocktails here for months. I am working on an every other week basis one week remote one week in person. This week I was able to complete a baby quilt for a co worker, I was glad to get it done just in case we get shut down completely again. Christmas lights went up around here soon after Halloween. I hope to have a couple more quilts to the binding stage soon. One Christmas wall hanging and another lap size. Stay safe and Happy Holidays.

You can babble on...I sew while listening to you and feel like a friend is in my sewing room. I am very fussy about Christmas movies, no Hallmark ones for me. If you like Hugh Grant, "About A Boy" is wonderful.

My husband has NEVER watched Hallmark or Lifetime Christmas movies in the 30 years we’ve been together....but this year when they started playing on November 1st, he sat and watched one with me....and got hooked! We have watched 2 every night since about November 7th. You have 4 a day (or night) to choose from...2 from the 6:pm slot and 2 from the 8:pm slot, so he chooses one and I choose one...it’s been great!

Yes, yes let’s see those project boxes! I have no problem with the cc. I just go to the menu and it pops up. I’ve seen Christmas decorations around Fresno too. We’ll probably decorate early too. We were supposed to have our family Thanksgiving today, Saturday, but we decided not to go. My sister was going, which I didn’t like, but our great niece was exposed to COVID, and that’s the house we were going to. Then today, my sisters daughter told her that her husband and his sister were both exposed! It’s getting too close for comfort. Are you keeping your condo in Portland too? Good luck on the house hunting.😍

The Christmas Chronicles is good for recent years movies. I like some of the older ones mostly. My husband watches them with me to get along. So I don’t really watch too many so he doesn’t want me to watch some of his choices. 45 years of marriage does that. Ha. Your BOMs will keep you busy. LOL...I take a gander inside all your project boxes for sure!! Hidden gold I'm sure! The only "new" Christmas movie I loved was The Christmas Chronicles with Kurt Russell. Now they have a The Christmas Chronicles 2, which I have not yet watched. If you haven't seen the first one, you should. It is a hoot. Loved it! We don't normally do anything for Thanksgiving, as that's just "our" holiday. We don't have kids, only fur babies (cats). However, at Christmas I always go down to see my 6 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews. I sew them something every year. This year, the visit is out of the question, but I'm mailing them all snowman pillowcases. I'm going to miss them. I am praying for a fun 4th of July as I'll be in Sisters on that day enjoying whatever fun is to be had there. I've been listening to Christmas music for the last 2 weeks. It makes me happy. Hugs!!

So.many.of.these. Give me a good Scrooge instead. Our rental house sold and we had to find another in 30 days. I was frantic. We found a much nicer one just down the road but higher rent. We were invited to Thanksgiving, but decided to decline. Our teeny tiny town has had 10 new cases this week. Now our daughter and granddaughter are coming over to visit a couple of people visiting in that home. Ugh. Christmas has me worried!!!! So want to go because our precious grandson is coming home from the Navy. He’s been on ship since April first, with only 3 days shore leave on a quarantined beach in Guam around the Fourth of July!! Talk about tough!! There are thousands of people on his ship. He is working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. He is supposed to come home Christmas Eve. I want to be there!!! So Swanson TV dinners for us this year, for thanksgiving, hopefully not Christmas, too. Take care and have a great holiday. Happy house hunting. I vote for a project parade!! The house will come, just keep packing and planning and it will show itself in due time. I'm glad that you're getting some time with your grandsons in between house hunting. A perfect respite. Agree that current Christmas movies are silly and lacking a plot. They don't make them like they used to. Show us your project boxes! There's no shame, lots of us have lots and lots of projects in the works ;-)

LOVE the babble! Not getting to be with any family this year. My mother is 89 and I have spent every holiday with her for 66 years! This is a first. But when we get our day, boy are we going to celebrate!😁 My daughters and sons in-law and grandkids are all going to zoom. Our plan is to try and talk my mom through it. Kind of a hit and miss with her success.😂 Talk about putting your big kids pants on....this is the year to wearing them all the time!! Your home pillow is going to be wonderful. Love the quilt. I do not find binding relaxing! 😬😁😬Hope your search for the perfect place goes smoothly! It’s out there!! Your positive attitude is contagious! Thank you so much!

well...i survived a zoom funeral...I think the holidays will be a "peace" of cake! I used to never enjoy binding...but now things have changed!

The problem with take out cocktails that you are going to drive home with is you will essentially have an open container in your vehicle. So there are a lot of laws that are federal, state and local about alcohol. And that isn't even getting into the insurance consideration. I'm pretty sure you signed up for Fat Quarter's Shine On Block of the Month Club. There is a bee block. That's why I think that is the one you might have signed up for.

Sorry you're not finding your forever home, Anna. Is there anyway you could install a commode and sink in that potential beehive? Convert the closet, perhaps. You'd have to store your fabrics in another fashion. Neither of my daughters and theirs are coming, so my ex and I will do dinner and play scrabble. We're cooking either roasted pork hocks or ham with scalloped potatoes and acorn squash! Yummmm We don't usually make too much of Christmas, with no small children around, or family for that matter. I just wave at my neighbours kids across the street (sort of "borrow" them for a few minutes). You can babble away anytime, Anna. I love it!!! Okay, off to stitch and binge on The Crown. I can't handle those sappy, bletch Christmas movies. The acting is always so terrible. Luv ya and Have a great rest of your day and hugs from Canada.

My favorite Christmas movie is It's a Wonderful Life. You're killing me with your Home pillow. I just love that but keep telling myself I can't afford that. Trying to stay strong. would be great fun to see your project boxes! C'mon, let's go for it. Have a blessed Thanksgiving to our Queen and G Bees, and all us worker bees.

Instead of packing up the beehive - why not live in the Apartment in Portland for 3 months - Nov to Feb - similar to what you do down in Arizona - that way you can keep the Bee HIve. The way how I learn to label boxes was put numbers on them and have a notebook that you write what is in that box, that way all the removalist have is numbered boxes with no idea of what is in them.....less chance of boxes disappearing.

clever you are...the force is strong in you, lol...the bee hive is in escrow so no chance of keeping it for 3 months...

One time my husband and I were traveling with another couple in our 5th. wheels. We were in New Orleans. You could have a drink as long as it was a closed container. They considered a Styrofoam cup taped shut but with a straw a closed container. We would stop at a daiquiri place(had 100 flavors) then go to a mud bug place and get a couple of pounds. Sit at our picnic table and have a feast. So fun!
