​@@marteczek9791 I'm not familiar with the deck in its current state, does making them bigger actually help? I always thought the problem was that they couldn't impact the board immediately unless you combo with rhino, maybe this solidifies that gameplan?

@@rajkanishu I played a version recently with Hope of Quel'Thalas and x2 Warsong Wranglers so the raptors go to 9 attack and you can often just OTK from hand

In Wild, Hunter has Dinomancy that was recently buffed, maybe it will finally be played.

@@locogato3488 Priest can have a lot of fun in Wild with it. Activate the Obelisk, Clear Conscience, Apotheosis and Elekk Mount... Untargetable, lifestealing, taunt minion that leaves behind another taunt minion when it dies and you can buff it by +3/+3 with hero power. You can also make copies of it with Vivid Nightmare so you can draw more big buffed up Amalgams after you run out of weapon charges.

Sure, but the power level of these cards isnt comparable. This is 3 mana cheaper, has a better statline for the cost, and generates you buff material.

It's played because it's more than minions. People are thinking minions but it says 1 cost card meaning anything that you played for 1 cost.

I've been convinced on the bird cards. Not sure you can play another tourist in the other class but I'm guessing not otherwise I'd consider Gilly for priest. The weapon I'm not sure is good enough or even does anything exciting for priest and catch of the day simply isn't exciting.

Vol'jin can essentially double the stats of Automatons. Since if they're 4/5's and you swap them, their base stats will become 4/5 instead of 1/2 and then their text will still give them +3/+3 to make them into 7/8's. Though you can effectively do the same thing with Crazed Alchemist already (Turn a 4/5 Automaton into a 8/7)... With 2 of them you can do it twice and turn a 4/5 into a 10/11. Vol'jin generally won't be too impactful until you get reasonably large Automatons such as 8/9's becoming 15/16's and able to OTK but often at that point the game is already over because you're likely getting Ra-den down who'll fill the board with all these large automatons anyway.

Exactly. Wish being a board buff is very important, it means it's not a complete tempo sink and brings in a better body too with hagatha. Any card hunter plays, has to generate tempo, even in our "slower" decks. We're not a class that can afford to take a turn off, it's why the only time deathrattle hunter has been good, it was an aggro deck not a value deck. Value in hunter has very rarely worked, so the Warrior cards finally making value real in hunter, are Gilly's only hope.

thats not that bad 😂 you play the octo masseuse, give it rush, play jormungar and another +1 attack buff so it has 4 attack and then attack the 2/1 = 31 damage to the face

I just got to legend with Hurhuran hunter, I can assure you that card actively makes the deck worse. It won't see play there. It doesn't need any value, it needs to be aggressive. The stats are useless too, if we stick a board, you're already dead, we don't need +2 att. This card is too slow for standard, never mind wild.

@@Bladius_ i also got legend with the deck: my thought process is when you *can't* stick a board. you egg out and load up with lions and princess and get board wiped for the 5th time in a row and your hand fills with more 0 drop princesses and lions but now your out of eggs for lion and princess to push with. drop this guy, drop the 0 drops copies you got from the board wipe, and make one final push. personally i like this a lot more than the ETC. all etc does is get tundra rhino; and personally i'd rather drop the ETC, run 1 main decked tundra, and slide this guy into ETC's slot. alternative you can just slot this guy into ETC but that doesn't feel good

also, as a side note, getting legend isn't an achievment lol. its a prerequisite. reaching legend on its own is easy

@@georgeweber9396Getting legend is a shorthand way of saying "I've played the deck a bunch" not a brag, specifically I hit ~1100 but then stopped because FF14's expac came out lmao. If you want proof I understand the deck, I'll oblige. The fact you even mention tundra in main shows you don't really understand how the deck works, you just play it. Tundra HAS to be in ETC, eggs are already inconsistent enough when you need a board clear and they only hit Hurhuran or when you don't need the clear and just wanna play a board of hurhurans, you should know that if you played it that much. I've played tundra-in-main versions when I was tinkering with egg the day the set dropped, before current lists existed and were optimised (I was playing an origami frog/mukla/rhino meme list I built), and it's unplayable. When you can't stick a board you hold pieces and ETC for Rhino; if you can ETC for rhino and OTK why are you still worrying about "sticking a board"? You can just end the game instead. Gilly also doesn't actually help you stick a board, because it's a delayed deathrattle and only affects hand, any deck that can wipe you after turn 6 likely isn't a class that cares about +3 hp. You can never afford to ""gilly>pass" in wild and expect to win against any real decks, "ETC (for rhino)>pass" at least means you WILL will kill them next turn if they don't stop you. It's a tempo/combo deck, learn when to hold and when to build and you never need Gilly. Also, Nathanos is already a perfectly good 6 drop, and we don't need more "sometimes this is good" cards clogging up our deck. It also clogs Nathanos/Nine lives; currently you will be offered the egg/mini-egg/meat wagon, so you can always pick which of the eggs you need for the current game state; adding Gilly has a chance to offer his deathrattle and fuck up a combo turn. He also clogs your hand with useless Crocolisks, again, if you've played the deck you should already know how hand clogged the deck can get when setting up for swing turns and the cards you shouldn't play from carrion studies.

The paladin common, 3 drop hand buffer is legit better than Gilly, lmao

Priest can abuse it even more. It keeps ALL enchantments. I'm sure Priests will come up with ways to make a board monstrosity that they can keep pulling out from the deck.

@@yiyueji I think hunter has more both beast buffs and mech buffs and also priest ways to summon the minion from deck (minion not copy) are kinda limited. rember minion keep the enchatment but it's not like buffing 1 copy of it gives them all buffs.

Luckily it doesn't compete, because those are good cards. Gilly isn't.

The handbuff isn't too bad. Especially as Hunter has ways to generate minions with Awakening Tremors and Patchwork Pals so it can get some decent value (It's part of what makes Messenger Buzzard so annoying to play against, because even that little handbuff will often be hitting a bunch of minions). The main problem is that the dude is just ignorable... A 4/6 that fills your hand with garbage minions each turn is not a particularly big threat. Overall, it's a pretty "Meh" tourist. Not bad like Buttons but not good like Lynessa. Highlander Hunter won't have any qualms about putting it in their deck to access some Warrior cards, but Secret/Token Hunter decks aren't interested unless Warrior cards are really good for them.

@@iuricunhamurakami8261 That's a value play in hunter, you fell into a classic trap friend! Hunter value has NEVER been good, ever, in over 10 years. If a play is anti-tempo in Hunter, it's not good.

Birdwatching draws the minion while Tracker gives you a copy of it. So isn't Tracker still better since it keeps the original minion in the deck?

You forget it repeats the card. Theres a number of things that can repeat like puppet theater and other things that make a minion 1 cost. It's also not specifically a minion it's a 1 cost played card. It's a combo with things like Acutpunture, twilight medium, puppet theater, automaton ect. It's more likely a priest card.
