It was cool to see the great Jane Russell in a small role. She carried it off really well. This episode had the whiff of an organized crime drama especially the scene where Hunter is kidnapped and interrogated. Nice to see an episode where McCall is the dogged and determined one to solve a case. It's also neat to see that the show is developing some secondary characters what with Ambrose Finn being a part of the force and dealing with Hunter & McCall.

Police brutality is frowned upon these days. I always took it as some kind of slapstick, because they never even broke their skin in their bare knuckle fights. In case of murder, unless it is domestic or gang related, home in on the culprit from the get go every time is highly unlikely. Great fun, but just as unlikely as a tuba tooting morgue assistant. I dare say there always was and certainly is more red tape and bureaucracy than makes good television, but these days a pinch of realism seems to be the fashion these days.

How often do cars flip like that in real life? That was a particularly good one, flying through tree branches and all. And I like how they have an ally in the new Lieutenant now. I'm glad he was made a regular. Perhaps he was brought on just to manage Hunter and McCall for the Captain! Nice touch... he told Hunter he loves him. :-D And I had a feeling that dude was going to get roasted after flying off the road in the end. The irony, right???

well , think that one can say that , in many car chases with this ending the car are flying WAY out of hell , but all for the action and keeping the viewers in the seat . but aside from that , hunter was and still is one hell of a great crime serie to watch even tho it has years on its neck .
