Dark Genesis Pretty much what I wanted to comment right after I finished the video. Pitou is pretty tough, imo above even Zeno. So Netero can’t really kill her if he wanted to save his power for Meruem

Well, I remember netero mentioning that he has vastly weakened compared to when he was at the top. Anyhow it’s been a good deal of episodes since he said that tho so it’s all good.

But mereum is just a child now and also doesn't have any specific nen abilities . And post nuke mereum would be unrivaled even by netero prime . But having said that , netero prime would be able to defeat the current mereum .

It's not that Netero didn't want to injure Pitou, but Pitou is just that strong. Even Meruem, who's way stronger than Netero, barely hurt Pitou when he deliberately tried to swipe Pitou's head off earlier on.

@@the44Jeff Netero has said before that Pitou is stronger than him. Netero was expecting that attack to blast Pitou to the other side of the country. His main concern was to separate the royal guard from the King, Gon's revenge was secondary. When he said "I hope you don't return", I took it as Netero showing that deep down he still doesn't want the kids to fight Pitou (as an adult, that's a realistic sentiment) at least not alone while everyone else is occupied with their own fight. But when Pitou returned, Netero just had to accept it.

As far as Kurapika and Leorio go, Kurapika's powers are really only super-effective against the Troupe, and would you really want poor weak Leorio to come to East Gorteau and actually die for real?

I mean Netero used to be strong. Now he's very old and lost alot of his powers. He said himself that the smoke guy could beat him. As for Zeno he was there just as a transportation as his fighting power is weak. He isnt even in the top 3 fighters in his own family. I remember Zeno himself saying that he would die in a 1v1 against the leader of the troupes.

@@theoleroy4524 I mean he is strong but he never was the strongest during his life. During his peak, he was at best top 5 in the world. In the Zoldyck family alone, there is at least 2 people at his level or straight up outclass him and we're not talking about Zeno. The thing is the ant crisis is shown to threaten the human species while in fact it is not that dangerous even if the king gets all the time he needs. In the manga, it will be shown how small the hunter association is in terms of power in front of the biggest countries in the world. A real life comparison would be as if you send 1 team of peace corps to deal with the threat of a warlord in Africa. World powers like the US/Russia and China won't even bother to deal with it. The same thing basically happens in the show.

Netero didn't kill pitou because he can't waste energy on her. He has to preserve as much as possible to fight the king. It would be too costly a victory for him to kill pitou. That's what the other hunters are for.

Finger Blaster 9000 Nah, considering it took dozens of attacks from Adult-Gon to fully break her skull and she was STILL able to attack, and knowing Netero’s attacks aren’t even scalable to the king (like getting flicked by a ten year old), I think Netero would have to use Zero Hand on Pitou which would kill them both.

@@alucardwhitehair well, 1 regular kick from adult gon shattered her spine and 1 jajanken rendered her unconscious. The other hits were just him taking his anger out I think. If those other punches were as powerful as the first punch he threw, he'd have killed in 3 hits. I definitely think adult gon is many times stronger than netero, but netero's bodhisattva is probably the fastest thing in the series, as meruem was only able to land a hit after dozens of attacks. It was able to attack in the tenth of a second window it takes for terepischore to activate. I think netero would be able to attack literally dozens of times before she even realised what happened. I think he'd just be able to wear down her durability with his broken speed imo

The royal guards have a huge amounts of aura, which makes them really durable to any slap, hit, punch or kick type of attack. That's why Netero wasn't trying to kill Pitou. Instead he focused on sending her out of the battlefield by slapping her away.

In terms of strength Netero said Pitou looked stronger than him and remember what Colt said that the royal guards would wreck his shit before he gets to the king. In this show its not about strength it's about ability but yeah the royal guards are incredibly really strong.

@Austin Kilgore meditation helps for mental strength and fortitude for the upcoming fights. Not physical strength. When it comes to ability I think Netero could win in a fight against Pitou but just plain physical strength I dont think so.

That scene with Netero in the dojo was low-key one of my favorites from this arc. When Netero threw that punch, the dojo master caught a glimpse of the enlightenment Netero had achieved. His core ideal manifested before him, and the beauty of it made him cry. And for some reason it made me tear up, as well.

Unfortunately Pitou was not the least bit injured from Netero's attack; remember he himself said she was stronger than him. And Colt said that he would be killed by the Royal Guards before getting to the king.

Many people seem to disregard this fact. Ptiou do not even show any physical damage neither she comments on strength of attack. Although it is ok to say any full fledged battle between the two would have most likely went in Old man's favour

@@atomskthepirateking2776 Except the King is barely able to react as well. The only thing he can do is constantly tank the attacks while bouncing right back. Even when he was less than a meter away from Netero, Netero still finishes his prayer and swats the King away easily. The King barely reacted better than Pitou, and his strategy literally consisted of exhausting Netero's options until he would know what he would do, evade ahead of time, and get him. If you have to predict to evade ahead of time, you are absolutely much, much slower than your attacker. The Royal Guard is stronger than Netero in pure stats (except Pouf), but Netero's technique is much faster and slightly stronger (obvious from the fact that not even Meruem can push back the attacks, he can only endure them, yet he gets thrown around by them whether he wants it or not).

Qussai Hasan I disagree. I think Netero was definitely weaker. Zero hand would be the only thing that could take Pitou down. And even that’s questionable. Meruem ate it like it was nothing really, and even though Pitou is far weaker than Meruem, I don’t think she’s so much weaker that an attack that could hardly damage the King would completely kill her

Netero only attacked pitou because she was in his way. His only focus is the king. He trusts the royal guard to the other members of the extermination squad. Zeno's only role is to provide a distraction and to isolate the king and netero. The primary goal of this mission is to kill the king, to cut the head off the snake, so to speak

@@atomskthepirateking2776 no it can't be anywhere near 125 idk bout tht ( and yes i know bout nitro rice too) but if we go off the info by himself and others we could narrow down a little like the flasback he started at 46 plus 2years to finish the routine thts 48 now he (could of) stayed for a bit but how much longer wud he really stay there for i say 50 now after he got the school it said 60 years till the present time thts 110 years old he would be But in the manga not include in the anime beans swears netero keeps telling him he been 100 for at least 20 years but the wouldnt add up with the flashback estimate in the manga since 10-5 years would be missing again, age 46-50 for training then a 60 years time jump thts 10 uncounted for

@@Ryuksgelus it is less about the damage or ability to fly, it's the force they were hit with. Their wings would have been ripped off trying to stop too soon. The only reason pitou survived is due to a nen condition on her ability. Netero was confident that his single hit would have knocked her far enough to boo longer be able to be a factor in the fight

6:55 I love the level of sass that Zeno has. Clearly Killua got his genes. This episode... This is the best start to a big scale fight ever. So hype. Finally getting a glimpse of what two of the most powerful Nen users can do is amazing. Also at this point in time you already watchet till 118 so I can say without any doubts: Pitou best girl/ant/cat/nongender animal or insect. I love her so much. It's really funny that you started the episode saying "if all the episode is them about to enter..." and yes, it basically was it. From a more interesting perspective haha I really hope you enjoy the narrator. It can be a little overwhelming sometimes but I really defend his role in this arc Also, the new thumbnails are fucking awesome

Netero's nen is only a fraction of Pitou's nen, let alone the King. He can't just "kill her" even if he can outspeed her with his attack. In theory she's several times stronger than he is both in nen and body, the only reason he can compete is thanks to 1) experience 2) his insane training (it is my suspicion that this training acted as a condition for his power which is why he has one specific attack that's so much stronger than everything else). Also, Zeno is super strong but he's not even close to a match for Pitou. Netero is barely a match for her and only because of his Haxx ability, Zeno who admits that he's nothing compared to Netero would not hold a candle to her in a fight.

i really hoped the zoldyck family 'finish' their job you know...like in phantom troupe and this arc...they pretty much just earn free cash effortlessly without putting a serious fight to death....i would've love to see zeno helping netero fighting meruem and they probably could deal a serious damage even though they're extremely weaker than meruem
