Out of my top 5 scenes Killua is the center of 3 of them. Gon may embody the spirit of this anime, but I feel like Killua is it's heart. Which is ironic because he's an assassin lol.

Togashi doesn't get enough props for always anticipating audience reactions and questions to scenes and then having characters in-universe react the same way or ask the same questions. This goes back to Leorio thinking Killua's mom was emotionally hurt by his attack.

I love Pariston in this episode. Finally wins the election just to resign and give it to the person who hates him and has been combatting him the most. You see his terrifying side in his threat to Cheadle, but that touch of humanity he gives when he speaks about Netero says so much about his character and his actions. He truly loved Netero, he loves the association Netero built, and his goal was just to ultimately honor it and cherish it.

Killua is the best friend and brother anyone could have ask for.

We need to find Nanika irl to heal Togashi himself.

Seeing how far Killua has come, being able to give happiness to others the way Gon gave happiness to him ALWAYS gets me. He was able to become the light that he initially thought was too bright for him during the CA arc, for others. He's easily one of my favorite characters in a series full of absolutely fantastic characters.

In this episode, Killua knows the unconditional love Nanika has for him and no has ever loved him like that. And Killua wants to love them both the same way.

For such a bombastic, action-packed show, HxH speaks just as loud in its quieter moments. Nobunaga grieving Uvo, Killua aknowledging that Gon saves him from the life he would have led had he never met him, and especially the end of this episode, which I would say ties for my favourite scene of the series with Gon and Killua confronting Pitou.

It's incredible that Pariston's motivations were coming from a place of grief. Legit moments ago everyone was hating on him, but when he turned around with those lifeless eyes, it just becomes heartbreaking.

but just imagine... when killua said “will you forgive me for being a bad big brother?” its so heartbreaking because he knows... he knows better than anyone what its like having bad big brothers and terrible siblings. he knows how much it can hurt getting manipulated and played by his family. just imagine how horrified killua was in that moment and how terrifying the thought of hurting alluka is to him. he just wants alluka to heal and find happiness. he wants freedom from his family for himself and alluka. killua is just so /good/ it hurts :( both killua and alluka dont deserve the cruel life they were born into :(

Imon understood Pariston's character with the quickness, meanwhile Abby still sees things as black and white, thinking he's just a typical power hungry creep. (But her surprised reaction towards the end of his scene makes me think Pariston's character finally sank in). Also incase you guys may have missed it, but the one that told Tsubane to withdraw Killua's restraints at the end was their mother's orders. So she may not be purely bat shit crazy of a mum after all ^^ Gosh one last reaction to my favorite anime by my top3 favorite reactors :(

Killua is the best character

I find killua to be not only the most complex character with the most development and realistic human emotions but I also find him to be the most relatable character he started the show not having a purpose not knowing what he wanted to do with this life and what made him happy he slowing found it through gon who was the light that showed him there was better but when gon went dark killua realized he couldn’t stay with him and protect him like that forever it’s really sad but I find it relatable because I’m 18 also not knowing what I want to do with my life or what it has in store for me but I’m doing what I like and just going with what happens just like he does cause he even said he makes decisions in the moment

I finished Hunter X Hunter a couple days ago, honestly it's one of the, if not _the_ best anime I've ever watched

The ending was writing from the heart and soul. You can apply it to your own life. In this era more and more peopl e become insecure about themselves. Learning to truly love yourself and accepting yourself for what you really are is a hard task. It’s only hard when the people around you keep pointing it out whether they know it or not it’s a sort of manipulation. When alluka said if you gonna LOVE ME you also gotta LOVE SOMETHING. That applies to everything in your life and the relationship you want to build. If that means you walk a lonely road for 10 years until you find those who accept ALL of you so be it.

I love Ging's advice on how to apologize and have done my best to follow it since reading it. It also shows that despite his many flaws, he really does try to be a good person in his own way. And yes I know it's not Ging's or Togashi's original idea, but it was the first time I'd heard it when I first read hxh.

after the series, can you guys react to maybe the original openings to the 1999 HxH?? the openings really matched the mood of the first 2 major arcs (exam and phantom troupe) compared the 2011 that used the same song for all the episodes

Fun fact: Gings character is actually based on yusuke from yu yu Hakusho. So if his character is infuriating and you’re wondering if he’s a good guy and all that it helped me understand his character more by knowing that. If Yusuke and Keiko grew up and had a kid their kid would be Gon.

This episode is a burst of emotions. From happiness of Gon's revival. From anger of Alluka. From sorrow of Nanika and unconditional love from Killua. This complexity of feels that Togashi gave to us.

@Boros Vita he hasn't lost it and just needs to regain it and gon isn't a sociopath dumbass, he is just like an ordinary kid just above them in mind and body. He cares for his friends and doesn't care much about random people to get to his goal but he does try his best. In the chimera ant arc his anger was justifiable, this version didn't pick much on kite and gon's relation where as the 1999 version literally started with kite and gon's dynamics. If one's father/brother figure is brutally murdered, tortured and used as a plaything no one's going to care for a random stranger like komugi. So many idiots on internet shit on gon for this when he wasn't in the wrong. That's why gon is better than other protagonists out there, he actually has dark times and suffers and he does act his age, he learns from his mistakes too. Gon is an amazing character and thus mob thinking of sitting on him for acting the way he should have pisses me off.

Killua. Best. Big. Brother. If he hadn't been my favorite character in this show (and maybe in anything ever), his scene with Alluka and Nanika would've cemented it. He's so good. But yeah, now Killua is absolutely the most powerful character in the world, with his Godspeed, super-assassin skills, and now the ability to just wish for whatever he needs with zero reprecussions. 17:20 Yes, exactly. Killua was acting exactly the same as the rest of his family, and that's why it hurt him so bad to do it, but he thought it was what was best only to immediately be told that forcing her to suppress that part of herself would be unforgivable, and realizing what he was doing. 20:20 My theory for why the rest of the family misgenders Alluka is that she was born a boy, but Nanika is female, and because Nanika is such a big part of who Alluka is, she identifies with Nanika's gender more. There isn't any concrete proof that this is the case, but that's just my theory. They sort of choose to ignore what Nanika could be, and just refer to Alluka as what she was born as rather than who she believes herself to be. That kind of goes back to the whole Zoldyck way of thinking, where they seem to believe that every member of that family has some sort of destiny because of being born into that family, all being brought up as assassins regardless of whether or not that sort of thing is their forte. They had a bunch of boys, and raised each of them in some way to shape them into the person that they are. Alluka went against that from the start, and the only reason they couldn't mold her into what they wanted is because the thing that made her different was this outside thing they couldn't understand and were terrified of. 21:35 YES, ABI. Now you understand. Ging is a garbage man. The absolute worst. Man, I can't believe there's just one more week of this amazing show left for you two. But yeah, go back and rewatch it, and maybe even watch some other reactors watch it. ;P It's a fun time.
