Thanks for another common sense approach to a problem. A good explanation of how a clutch works and possible problems.

Great video Todd. With this information in mind, how does the secondary setup (spring/helix) affect engine rpm? When do we know when too much helix or too light of a spring is being used?
@Hunterworks4 жыл бұрын
Hard for me to answer that, we use stock stuff or Dalton kits and that is determined.

Great explanation. Do you consider CF moto an okay brand? You will eventually care kits and belts for this machine brand?
@Hunterworks2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately we won't be doing any CF moto parts, sorry. On the brand, I have no experience, sorry.
@BlettzaHrekleW Жыл бұрын
CFMOTO use to be considered a newer brand but they've been in business for over 30 years and are on the heals of the bigger more popular brands , myself I've owned 3 now and would definitely consider another one in near future , for the price paid and what all you get , it's hard to beat a CFMOTO.. Comes with standard options that the bigger brands don't.. The CFMOTOs all use CVTECH Canadian Clutches which are one of the best on the market and easiest to tune , The secondary from factory has 12 different settings alone , then you have oevr a Dozen of Primary spring options.. I know of guys with well over 10,000 miles on thei lr clutches with 0 issues , several over 20,000 miles on their machines. Cfmoto is definitely here to stay and is growing fast

Great vid. Can you explain the effect of increasing power by adding a turbo kit on the CVT and what clutching changes does it require on a stock 2019 Wildcat xx? Stock 30” tires and possibly paddle tires for sand dunes. Basically going from 130 to 190HP.
@Hunterworks2 жыл бұрын
Probably won’t be a video not our area. However due added power you must put heavier weights in primary to load clutch up more. We on deal in stock engines.
@Eastern_SA2 жыл бұрын
@@Hunterworks thanks for the explanation. Now I understand that with added power, the clutch engagement will be snappy. So, it will need heavier weights to put it back to to where it should be.
@Hunterworks2 жыл бұрын
@@Eastern_SA not really just need the clutch to close faster to put a load on the engine. Pretty standard cvt practice. Lots of info on the web. Just not area we are in.

I have a question about my primary clutch on a side by side I own. For some reason when it's in park it will engage and do what is supposed to but once I put it in low, high, or reverse it doesn't want to engage at all.
@jonathanclark4839 Жыл бұрын
Also the machine won't start moving until about 2500 rpm and at around 5000 rpm it will finally start to engage properly

Is there away to drop my rpm when I'm top speeding IE 70 mph with a cfmoto zforce sport 1000 I have 18g weights and a spring that dropped my pull away rpm to 1800 to 2000
@Hunterworks Жыл бұрын
TopSpeed RPM is not controlled by clutching I’m not sure what style of clutches in that one but you would have to overdrive the belt like we do on a Yamaha rhino and a Polaris it’s not possible

How do you change the stall rpm. I have a rig that doesn't engage until 3700 rpm. I want to bring it back down to like 1500-1700 rpm. I'm planning on running 32" tires and this is a boosted RZR XP 1000. Sitting at 300whp on C16

Most likely that is what I am saying but I do not know what vehicle you have however low speed low rpm equals low power for some reason no matter the vehicle.
