they are still 2 completely different types of games still, this game is more like the hunter classic in a way. no need zones that say EXACTLY what time and where an animal is for you.

@EmperorJuliusCaesar I agree, I think the monetary system is a bit wild as well tbh. Stuff costs to much, as per what you get for the game. Plus the perk and skill points like you mention come far to slow.

@DurrHunt70000 I agree that cotw could definitely integrate some stuff that hunting sim 2 does well, I was just speaking for the people who don’t play hs2, including me, who r still glad that it came put just to give cotw something to try to stay ahead of.

I've been having a lot of issues finding mature specimens of a lot of species in this game. Mature cougars seem to be a dime a dozen, but I've yet to bag a mature pronghorn and I'm 60 hours into this game. The best I've found is "adult". I'm sure they're out there, but they have to be exceedingly rare.

To help you out with the scope issue. U have to buy multiple scope to go on your weapons. It's not like COTW. The scope that you had went to the 243.

Flinter we have 2 pointers and the youngest one stalks pigeons that sit in our yard if we come back from work sometimes we find dead birds everywhere

Look forward to giving this game a shot some aspects of it look pretty decent wont take the place of cotw by any means but might be nice to try something new... is there a way to keep more than one of each species in the lodge or replace them with anything you choose or does it just replace it with the biggest one you save?

It’s a fun game. It’s not theHunter. I’ll play through, finish the lodge, and see from there. I enjoy it, but I don’t think it has a ton of replayability

A pro tip is get the cougar license when you start off. Cougars give you 3,000 in cash. Then go to the bottom map for the first world.

This UI looks like something from 10+ years ago. Not exactly impressed but I love the fact of their being real life weapons in the game, and lots of options with them. Having the dog is cool too but im also pretty sure we'll get dogs in COTW eventually too. so much visually and audio wise just seems to not compare though. Might make for a nice occasional change of pace if it isn't too expensive, ill probably get it at 30 or less but if they expect this to be a 50 or 60 dollar game ill be waiting for a big sale.

When in the trophy lodge there is a bookcase that has a Wiki for the game. It states that when claiming trophies if you already have one in the lodge it will ask if you want to swap out trophies. I haven't ever had it ask me that on the Xbox version. Anyone had that happen or is that something they left out? I wish it were an option because I could choose which animal goes in the lodge.

Thier not the best and they use the same antlers for use the same antlers for the elk Sika and red deer so thier not the best with antlers the fallow deer is alright tho

Also the labs just collect birds and rabbits or any small animal that falls that you can't get. They are not the best at tracking. The beagle is the best at tracking. The pointer is the best at spotting close animals.

You can call then if if you are close enough. Once they get around 200 yards you can use the call and it will lure them closer. If they are too far away they won't hear it. A good trick is to use a call and see if any are in the vicinity. If they are and hear it, they will call back and show their location.

Crossbolt on buffalo wow the size of the bolts to the buffalos head. It makes one think twice. No larger than a deer for this weapon.

COTW is much more realistic. Simulator 2 is more arcade style, but still a good change after you have been playing COTW for a while. I like switching back and forth.

COTW Hunter I’m sorry, but I have to go with John Rudolph. The animations on Hunting Simulator aren’t as impressive. I’ve had The Hunter Call of The Wild for about 2 weeks and it’s been amazing. But, I really love the animations on COTW compared to Hunting Simulator 2. That’s my opinion.
