When John Reeves of BoneYard Alaska announced on the Joe Rogan podcast that 50 tons of mammoth bones were dumped into the East River in the 1940s, Billy and I decided to go on an adventure to find them. That adventure took us 75 feet under the East River, a place where very few men have gone before. Did we find a gold mine of mammoth bones? Or drown in a polluted river? Watch the video and find out!

@@TheWontonDon I have not. I did notice you could just come right up - which makes sense! I was struggling with how you were able to pinch your nose to equalize. Pretty wild.

@@TooMuch637 There is a nose clip shaped device that can be that has a button on the exterior that when pressed it extends to your nose and acts like pinched fingers which allows you to equalize. Diving with a helmet is totally different from SCUBA, but you would do fine with three decades of diving experience

I'm a longtime SCUBA diver and for you guys to go hard hat diving for the first time in conditions like that really is amazing. But keep in mind, when the bones were dumped, any current would have taken them 20-50 yards down -river from where they entered the water at, depending on weight, shape, & current. ALSO it's extremely likely that area has been dredged several times over the decades since the bones were supposedly dumped.

The funny thing about this is that I'm 100% they weren't lying about financing. Don probably does have a wedding in august and is too strapped to throw a couple a thousand around.
