Roaming the Alberta plains, in search of monster mule deer and whitetail deer as well. The mercury simply refused to fall this season, making for comfortable hunting conditions from September through November. Uncomfortable, however, is going into the final few days of November with an unfilled mule buck tag. In the end, the "Huntfest" crew comes through with a couple whitetail bucks on the ground and I finally catch up to one of our target bucks, a 30 inch monarch of the prairies.
