@@dicksonsyderbut8976 ain't that the truth...my waders I got at a yard sale...and got my first set of deeks were given to me by an outfitter who was getting new ones and now I have 6 dozen duck deeks, 13 dozen snow socks e caller and 12 full bodies and 12 shells...buy all my stuff used. As I can't see spending huge amounts on gear.

I’ve never tried crane, they are rare in Canada and when they fly they are 200yd in the air. I have heard they are the “Ribeye of the sky” though.

I feel that hunting crane is a true pursuit of the most disciplined. My buddy hunts them regularly and it is true hunting.

The guide we hunted with in Saskatchewan described a shot crane as “looks like a lawn chair thrown out of a helicopter.” Very accurate 😆

After watching your videos all season, i have already started buying the gear to go duck hunting next season here in Central Florida. I wish cranes were legal to shoot down here, a couple in my apartment complex like to wake me up every morning and block traffic. They would make great fajitas.

Nice Bobby, here in central Indiana we have thousands and thousands of cranes that always use the flooded fields we hunt for honkers and ducks and we don’t have a season and it kills us haha. Killed my first banded honkers this weekend and we even killed three other bands in two days from the same spot! Three were from the same county but the one was from moosonee ontario which is around 900 miles from here!!

Just like geese there are both Lessers and Greaters Sandhills. We have both in New Mexico and have shot both. Big Thud when they hit the ground! Lot of fun to hunt!

@@jdkennedy77 I believe they are lessers as they are greater in numbers in the eastern part of our state. The greaters are darn near as tall as I am. They tend to travel along the Rio Grande through the center of the state. They look identical but the greaters are about 4-5 lbs heavier.
