Hunting Mallards on BIG WATER (Public Land) Washington State

We slid into a popular spot on PUBLIC LAND on the Columbia River for some afternoon action of decoying mallards headed out to feed. With some aggressive calling, we broke off pairs and singles of big flocks into the decoys.

I can tell we are close to the same age…. Your cadence sounds A LOT like Jim Ronquest (used to be with RNT). I learned much from listening to him hammer on ducks without using the “hail” though he could. The calls sound good on the video. Keep doing what you love and sharing it with the world.

I know exactly where you are…there is a video of the Robertsons ( duck dynasty) hunting the other side of that when I first hunted that there was 2 trees there lol

Y’all some Hollywood rich boys hunting got all the toys ! Good hunt though it’s nice to see somebody letting the birds work right in . There was a few times you guys could of been pass shooting and from what I seen you didn’t! I don’t see why the one guy wore costa’s all the way until dark ?

But the birds worked in and they killed birds so…. Sounds like they called just enough. Your probably the same group of guys who tell them they bugle too much when they kill elk
