Great video Roy, I can see the improvement in your hunting skills. You're also getting better with the calling. Turkeys are starting to put up warning signs with your picture on it. It will be nice to see how 2023 goes for you this year. I'm expecting good things are coming.

Thank you! Last season I definitely made huge strides in becoming a better turkey hunter. Excited for 2023 to start!

Well young man, you certainly get an "A" for effort. It's good to see your determination and commitment to the art, not so common anymore. I fully expect that you will find success in the long run. Lastly, I am looking forward to your 2023 season but I hope we don't have to wait a year to see the videos.

Thank you! You should be happy with the next video then. I am looking forward to starting my 2023 season as well! I’ll probably do something similar to what I did last year, post a few videos as I go and save some to post at the beginning of the following year leading into the 2024 season

I thought the video was great. But I felt like this one wouldn’t end with you bringing him out. I saw your response to someone else, and I am looking forward to the next video. Sometimes, you can’t over call to one, but most of the time you can, especially in the afternoon. I have done it myself. We get excited. That is why we go. Nice work.

Once you get one talking you have to usually lighten up on the calls make him want to get you to talk don’t keep hammering back every time. Just like if you have a girl that txts you none stop you lose interest if she texts just enough to keep you interested but not to much you want to see where it goes

Getting me fired up for the spring turkey here in Iowa, I like to use a crow call for locating turkeys throughout the day, just rip that thing a few times and I would say on a average day a solid 7/10 times a turkey will shock gobble at it at least around here, I’ve noticed if I call to locate when I move closer and call again I think they assume the hen is on her way to him like it’s supposed to go down and they seem more likely to stay in there bubble, I feel like it’s a safe way to keep tabs on where he is while I move closer without making him want to investigate

If you can keep eyes on em keep eyes on em. If they look like they’re heading. A certain direction try and cut them off. I think that’s a pretty fun way to do it honestly
