Gidday Rob, we remember you! Sorry for waking you up so late hahah... We went past Lake minchin on a different trip earlier this year whilst filming another vid. Brought along a rod after hearing how easy it was for you...didn't manage a bite hahah

He was most impressed with you guys and will send a great report to Her Majesty about your exploits. He looks forward to perhaps your skill and expertise becoming helpful on a future mission lol. Sorry to hear you didn't have luck with a trout at Lake Minchin. I've been their 4 times and their was once I didn't get a bite, the other 3 times was great success fishing. Check out John Spragg KZfaq channel, he has been going up fishing to Lake Minchin for years. These days he uses an electric mountain bike to make quick headway up the poulter valley.

Cheers Brent, glad we could bring you along! The drone is a Mavic mini 2, we carry spare batteries and power banks to keep them all charged! Depends on how long we're going for but the filming gear has definitely made them a bit heavier!

Completely understand your point mate, and it's pretty well validated. But if the tahr culls have proven anything it's that they're in charge when push comes to shove. We're going to have to find a more collaborative way of managing our game species, the lake Sumner deer control operation is a fantastic example. Hunter led conservation that benefits everyone involved 👍
