Is she really 2-9.5? That's insane. We have one that's 2-7.5 (That's her FLYING weight btw) And everyone says she's HUGE - I can only imagine. Some great hunting grounds you've got, nice and open. We went out yesterday and it was sunny then a freak passing cloud dropped HAIL and soaked us for 10 or so minutes... the hawks were demotivated until one either saw a dead pigeon or caught a live one - half a @#$#@^@ mile away!! She took it up into a tree and wouldn't come down. Then the tricky male kept stealing the rat from my glove and was making it extremely difficult to secure him. Mind you I am new but hunting with a VERY esteemed falconer. That one cloud (and perhaps a pigeon) ruined the entire day HA!

How do I get into falconry? How do I buy species not common northern Midwest USA?
