Voters in Huntington Beach have approved a measure that limits what flags can fly on city property.
This video aired on the KTLA 5 Morning News on March 7, 2024.

@@_B.C_I was just highlighting the other flags that were banned as well. Never did I say the pride flag was a religious belief. They just want government flags for a government building. The bigger issue would be if they banned people from displaying them from their property. That would be a huge issue and people are still welcome to hang the pride flags (as well as all the banners flags) from their homes, businesses and cars.

@@_B.C_it’s just saying the government is separate from any special interest group. The argument can be made why they don’t fly the prostate cancer flag, the lung cancer flag. All illnesses would have a valid reason. Just keeping it government flags keeps things simple and fair.

It’s on video, we all saw it. 🤦‍♂️ and yes the confederate flag had everything to do with states rights to keep slaves. Some history for you. The articles of surrender the confederacy signed when they lost had two conditions. 1. They had to lay down their arms. 2. They were supposed to fold up their flag and never fly it again. So flying that flag in any way is treasonous.

As a cancer survivor, I'm happy to see the breast cancer flag be put to rest. I don't need a flag for that, or for being a woman. There are plenty of other things to celebrate in other ways. ❤
