I’ve just fallen in to a well off listening to videos of these machines on KZfaq. The violins sound especially good on this one. Usually they sound extremely tinny and thin. These sounds very robust (and in tune, thank God). Very nice.

Richtig klasse.

Ben jarenlang rondleider geweest in Museum Speelklok.

Model A is altijd al mijn favoriete model geweest.

Is this the one in Rüdesheim? Never heard this one play so slowly! The vibrato sounds kind of wrong, but then I guess that comes from the technique they use which differs from real humans.

This one is in Museum Speelklok in Utrecht. I believe it is (or used to be) owned by another museum but is on loan to Speelklok

@nielsberkers4 жыл бұрын
indeed a model A. pretty rare but not as rare as the model C of which only a few are known. another rare option is the dual roll unit. the left one plays Phonoliszt-Violina rolls and the right one plays Phonoliszt rolls, making the instrument able to switch between piano with violin or piano solo. it also provides for continuous playing as one roll can rewind when the other is playing.
