Ima be honest the part where he said it got boring isn’t boring at all to me personally. I absolutely love the build-up in this song. I personally don’t really mind some of their songs that repeat a lot.

This one was always a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. It's not a very good song objectively but I always enjoyed it.

This one is not all that good. Maiden seems to have a problem with repetitive lyrics. C'mon Steve, either shorten the song or have more expansive lyrical content.

Though this isn't my favourite Maiden album, there is not a single song on it that I dislike as a whole. Yes, this song would have profited from less lyrical repetition, but that's the only thing about it that I would criticise.

Why the hate love this song

Back when Martin Birch produced Iron Maiden records, he would have say over the editing and length of the songs... After he retired in 1992, it was obvious w/ 'The X Factor' that Steve Harris was not the capable producer that Birch was... the sound was lacking, the harmonies needed work... the songs needed better lyrics and serious editing. This song was a prime example of how badly they needed an outside producer to organize and edit Maiden's songs... Thankfully, producer Kevin Shirley came in & filled that role in 2000 (Harris was still a co-producer). In comparison, Judas Priest had guitarist Glenn Tipton produce their 2 records w/ vocalist Tim 'Ripper' Owens ('Jugulator' in 1997 and 'Demolition' in 2001) and he did a great job for the most part... neither album sounded alike... the songs were concise and very good, but fans were not interested in Judas Priest without Rob Halford on vocals... it was a pity. If Iron Maiden had gotten a producer like Andy Sneap when Blaze Bayley joined, they might have produced a better record like Blaze's 'Silicon Messiah'... but it is what it is.

That’s the thing with this album, pretty much every song is repetitive, so listing to the whole album just compounds it. Individually, some nice songs, as an album 😵‍💫

Nobody will convince me that an album with this and The Angel and the Gambler is good. I don't think The X Factor was much better either. You couldn't make a decent album even if you combined both Blaze era records. At least things get a lot better when Bruce comes back.

This record has beautiful melodies and better production than X-factor. But without a main producer, the weakest point of maiden carrier was the hundredth same vocals line over over.

If you cut the middle part of the song or just remove this and put Jugemeant day or Justice for the peace in it woude be mutch better and shorten the Angel and the gambeler it woude improve the album

Lol. Great reaction! I hate this song so much I now like it just to make fun of it! Its a complete lyrical shit show!! Literally a broken record. Lol! However … I absolutely love the fast section! It makes me want to put on some shit kickers, buy a ten gallon hat, and send saw dust flying! The percussion rocks!! Then they ruin any momentum by that lame tempo slowdown to end this disaster of a song! This concludes anything positive I have to say about this album as the last song is an abomination!

Who made the decision to repeat the chorus 50 times? This has to be one of the poorest Maiden songs of all time.

If you focus on it, yes, it's annoying :D As with The Angel and the Gambler But most Iron Maiden songs are very repetitive. When you accept it as part of the whole, you end up liking it… x)

So many songs in this period ruined by needless repetition

The last two albums were where the songs got longer, and sometimes more repetetive. Also a lot of long slow intros. Unfortunately some of that carries through to the upcoming Bruce era. As much as I love a lot of their later era songs, their albums overall arent as consistently good as earlier albums. But thats just my take on it.

This here is my least favourite song by Iron Maiden. The repetetiveness is laughable. Really boring other than the little rapid instrumental spurt in the middle. Onto Como Estais Amigos next. A real underrated ballad by the band that gets forgotten about sadly

The bottom of the whole maiden career. There are also some repetetive songs in the 2000s era but they somehow capture the imagination amd i still love them. But this one is a total failure
