Sultan Suleiman is angry with Hurrem that she shut the door in his face. He thinks Hurrem is playing games with him. Hurrem will pay a heavy price for her impertinency.
Hurrem can't believe the decision that Sultan Suleiman made about her. She goes to Sultan Suleiman but that doesn't work. She tries for nothing. Hurrem has to obey Sultan Suleiman's rules. A new life starts for her outside of the harem. Will Hurrem be able to get together with Sultan Suleiman and her children?
Meanwhile, Sultana thinks it's time for taking over the control because she is aware that it will be a disaster if Sultana Hurrem gets what she wants. Valide makes a great plan to get rid of Hurrem and she needs İbrahim for that. Sultana and Ibrahim is praparing a trap with a heavy price for Hurrem.
In the mean time Nigar is about to commit a suicide. An unexpected person gets on at last minute for saving her from death.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Hurrem's lullaby is beautiful even without music. Also beautiful the lullaby that begins at 6:00

It's a little hard to get on board with the romance end of it when he treats Hurrem so disrespectfully.

The more disrespect he showed to Hureem, the stronger Hureem would show her love for him. She accepted him as he was ... and he realized how deep her love was for him, that helped to cement their love for each other. For Hureem loving suleyman was her goal and she never demanded anything else except his love for her and her children. While suleyman was trying to show the palace that he's a fair man that's why he punished her too. Just a little bit harsher than her enemies. She accepted all the punishment handed down to her by suleyman but would come back stronger deeper in her love for him and stronger and more powerful to her enemies by consolidating her own position in the palace to protect herself, her children and most important Suleyman.

@@jennylaw6820 yeah it's just simply hard, with my modern sensibilities to watch it and find it romantic. But in the end, at least with this show (since real life wasn't like this show) I think he grew to regret a lot of those dalliances. When he had to watch the woman he truly does love die in front of him, his last years were dark and mournful. At least in real life, he was a bit more devoted to her.

@@viastephtop l agree with what you've commented on Suleymen. Hureem only had one goal in life - to survive in the harem then the palace and her love for Suleyman and her children. She had the survival instincts of a mother to protect not only her children and herself but Suleyman from all "predators" within and without. The wealth and the power were secondary to her. As long as she had Suleyman and her children (although she lost three of her sons ..) by her side safely, that's was all she asked for. She's always truthful to herself and accept responsibilities for her actions and reactions. She's just an honest protective responsible loving wife and mother.

Sorry to be that person so often, but considering the real Suleiman lost his only other daughter to smallpox, yeah, this would have struck a true note of fear in him, I think.

Mihrimah Sultana died when she was 55/56, shes buried with her father, which is the one that portrayed in this episode, is based off the real Mihrimah Sultana. The other daughter he had during this series is Tasasız Raziye Sultana would be the one who you might be thinking of, because she existed also but passed at a young age in 1520. Possibly from disease like small pox.

@@DreamcatcherAcresFarm Don't know if my original comment was worded oddly, but, yes, I'm aware! I was trying to say that, after having lost Raziye, his only other daughter to smallpox, that any childhood illnesses Mihrimah suffered probably instilled a deep sense of terror. (In fact, this was probably true for *all* of his children considering he lost four children to smallpox throughout his life, including Raziye.)

This take still has as little sense as it did when you left it under the original post for this scene. Not only is there not a single moment where Hürrem orders Mihrimah to play ill or makes her so, if you want to make this claim then it has to apply to Mahidevran as well. After all, Mustafa's illnesses aided Mahidevran in allowing her to stay at the palace and bringing Suleiman back to her side. I suppose that was her using Mustafa's "fake" illness too? Honestly, get new material or just stop trolling the comments of a show you obviously don't like for attention.

@@Redluna32 I 👍... mahidrevan was a snake (always called Hureem one. But she should look at herself in the mirror). She's also a liar and playing the victim after she attacked Hureem and also accused Hureem for all her own failures. She use her own son to try to gain favour from Suleyman. But always failed ... as a leopard doesn't change its spots. She couldn't hide the the evil in her heart.
