If people really cared about climate change, then we would give up our big SUVs, trucks, global travel and large homes without government action. However, our behaviours actually say that we don't care about climate change, no matter what we say to the contrary. What people really want is to keep our big vehicles, big houses, regular air travel around the world, and other high carbon emission actions and for government to make the climate change problem go away. We don't want to change. So governments need to stop talking about climate change if they can't stop it without us changing what we do. The only thing governments are doing is causing unnecessary stress for people.
