Rangers Fan here. That was a helluva series. Canes are a strong team. (My OG mindset still has a problem with franchises located in places that barely see snow, and belong back in Canada where the sport originated but - sigh - that’s another matter) LGR!

Rangers didn't have 12 regulars injured, big difference when the Canes have to play a healthy team. Rather enjoyed watching the fans reaction.

Not a single mention about how the game actually was played out. Kreider scoring 3 goals 🥅 in 9 minutes is one for the books.

I'm a Rangers fan but I have to give much respect to the damn Canes they were tough like hell to beat and I'm so glad the Rangers didn't go to game 7 against these guys. They pressured the Rangers like crazy.I don't think the Rangers will face that kind of pressure the rest of the playoffs.

In reality, the Hurricanes lost this series in Games 2 and 3. When you lose back-to-back OT games in a series, it is next to impossible to come back from that emotionally. As a Rangers fan, it reminds me of the 2014 Cup Finals against LA. The back-to-back OT losses in Games 1 and 2 of that series just set a tone which they were never able to fully recover from. Pretty much the same story for ths Hurricanes in this series. Having to play catch-up hockey with your backs constantly against the wall takes a lot out of a team and the reality that one more slipup will end your season just places the odds that much more against you.

They don’t have to hang their heads, they’re a very good team that got Beat by a very good team!

It is what it is... The current Canes are more like the pre-2018 Capitals and 2010's San Jose Sharks...excellent regular season teams but lacking the extra gears to kick into and eventually getting clipped in the playoffs vs the better competition. The ebbs and flows between winning and losing keeps us on the fence between disgust and euphoria, but we keep coming back for more. Although I'm a devoted Canes fan, I grew up in Chicago watching the Hawks repeatedly getting their teeth kicked in year after year by those potent Red Wings, Oilers, and North Stars teams. This Canes era has that same feel. I also enjoyed Chicago's fairly recent Stanley Cup victories in addition to the 2006 Canes Cup, which I was closer to. It's a stark reminder how hard it is to reach the mountain top. Take the bad with the good and always remember..."There's always next year!"

What I don’t understand with these fans is they act like being down 0-3 then winning two games back to back now they were about to win the series. No winning tonight would push a game 7. You didn’t lose the series tonight. You lost the series the first 3 games. You never go down 3 games and expect as a fan to climb back and win it all. Keep hearing how if it wasn’t for this or that they would have won. This year felt different for the canes. But forget it’s game 6 not game 7. They would still have to win in New York a big game 7. With their history of choking I doubt it was ever happening

It’s not the team I don’t like it’s not the coach or players. I actually feel for players who work so hard only to fall short. What I don’t like mostly are some of the fans. Usually not the average fan. They are mostly like these people optimistic for the future. But it’s those KZfaqr wanna be media fans. They make every excuse in the book why the team lost. Never looking at the problems within the team always blaming either one player on the opposing team the refs special teams to many penalties even heard the statistics of losing on a certain day of the week. Never well we got beaten by a better team. Always how we were the better team but this not that just didn’t go our way. The hockey gods didn’t shine on us. Let’s be clear the better team always wins. The better team always wins the series. They always find a way to win the game no matter who played good or better in certain periods or games.
