I almost lost my life in 2017. My former boyfriend told me he wanted to kill me if I get him mad, he would kill me. He would beat me until I was unconscious. Then he left. I know I had to leave. I packed my clothes got an Uber driver to take me to a shelter. I stayed there for 10 monthes. I got my apartment. I have not dated since that happened. So my advice is anyone threatened you the first time that’s the time you need to get out. Before it’s too late and you lose your life.

I will always stand against violence as I was once an abused woman by a longtime boyfriend and then my first husband damn near beat me to death. Ifinally got myself back together with counseling and had a shorter 2nd marriage he was a snake but then I met my 3rd and last husband he was an angel unfortunately we only had 13 yrs he died of cancer but he truly was the love of my life. I miss him so much.

"It hurts me more than it hurts you to hit you" "If you'd be an obedient wife, I wouldn't have to hit you". This is the issue with abusive partners. The weaker abused partners are made to think that it is all their fault they are being abused. No. The person who suffers the most is the person being abused, not the abuser. The abusers tend to victimise themselves so that they have an excuse, but in truth they have none. If you are being abused by anyone, then fight back, call the police or run away.

I LOVE that his pseudo nice, protective side morphed into the typical abuser’s classic, textbook act of, “Come back! Come back!” He *KNOWS* that the concerned friend ( and classic narcissists LOATHE the absence of their daily supply. ) is going to help The wife and get her away from that jerk abusive narcissistic tool he hates it because without her he’s nothing because anyone who hits a woman is a coward and that’s it and that’s all. They tend to fall apart when the one they have been abusing for so long finally met finally wises up and leaves.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up being somebody’s female dog (which by breeders is properly called a bitch) in prison. She who gets the last laugh wins! As a Nurse, have also seen the opposite. Thank you for these films. I made a drastic mistake in 1993 - married a man who was an accomplished liar, deceiver, abuser. His weapon was his tongue - the tongue is one of the smallest muscles in the body, yet the hardest to control. This person had hurt so many before me and I was oblivious. I often wish he had abused me physically - bruises, cuts, broken bones will heal, the emotional scars lasted far longer. He was a lout, brute, a wild or domestic animal behave better. If you get a 'uneasy feeling - a "gut instinct" if you will - please listen to it and get away from a possible abusive, miserable life and unable to tell anyone. It is far better to live alone, able to have friends over, have a pet!! or 2!! Those 4-footed fur-bearing little ones will bring you more love, laughter and silliness and best of all, they will never judge you. That dreadful, drastic mistake was ended in 2002 when he deserted me and ended forever when he died - alone, in 2014. My dear ones, abuse still continues. Women were FINALLY, LEGALLY, proclaimed as PERSONS in 1984. Until then, when women married, they were PROPERTY and treated as such and shamefully continues today. God forgive those who think that way.

Im here to share my testimony! I had encounter on July 31, 2021 late night in my bedroom. I had just left my abusive husband ( threatened to kill days prior) police wouldnt do nothing when he showed up at my house because "he didnt touch you" although there was history of TPO's and police reports. That night in bed I was gripped by intense anxiety. I was terrified he would show up and hurt me this time. I was laying in bed crying and groaning of the fear. I then heard a clear audible voice in my head that was loud enough to hear over my sobbing. He said " Do you not believe God creator of heaven & earth is more powerful then your husband? I replied through my tears "Yes, Yes I do!" I then cried out to God to help me and protect me and I would live for Him. At that moment a peace that cant be described came over me and I fell asleep the whole night. The next morning I woke up with peace and knew everything would be ok. I know it was the Holy Spirit because at that moment it never occurred to me to cry out to God. After that encounter I have a strong desire to live for Jesus, read bible, pray and live a holy life. My love for Jesus has grown, my faith and a intimate relationship with my Savior is growing deeper by the day❤️‍🔥 Hallelujah. Praise God.❤❤ John 6:44 and that is what happened that night to me. Since that night everything between my husband is peaceful, still separated but peaceful. My husband never returned to my house nor has laid hands on me. If you knew my husband you wouldnt recognize him now!! It was all God. Hallelujah to the highest Theres no better love then Jesus! Nobody, $$, career or material possessions can fill the holes and heal the heart❤ Jesus is my friend, Savior, my rock, my treasure..my EVERYTHING!

Yes we know that thousands of women are verbally physically and emotionally abused everyday but let's not forget that there are women out there that verbally physically and emotionally abuse men also. And because people think men are weak when they say something they are so wrong men need to say that because women think they want to run the world we have to work together male and female alike to make the world work

For everyone saying that they hope domestic violence never happens to them... that's my prayer for you. I was a victim, early in my adult life. It followed me from my teenage years. I left all 3 abusers. I fled in the night with my son. I survived. I have no regrets about leaving. My 2nd husband has not ever been physical with me, nor would he ever dream about hitting me. The reason is that his mom was murdered. I assisted his mom in filing for divorce from her very abusive husband. She had officially been divorced from him for 18 days. He just couldn't function without her. He put 3 bullets in her that day, AFTER beating her mercilessly for hours. The police said there was blood spatter on every wall of their house. He took her away from her children and grandchildren. He spent the rest of his miserable life behind bars, but it was not and will never be enough. He took a beautiful life, a beautiful soul, an amazing woman, wife, mother, grandma and had zero remorse. If you or someone you know is being abused, PLEASE help them!!! Make a detailed plan and follow through. ( "Just leaving" sometimes isn't enough. Restraining orders are pieces of paper. They are necessary, don't get me wrong, but the victim needs more help than that.) Please pay attention to those around you. If you are a victim, please reach out to someone, and don't stop until you get away from whoever is abusing you. You CAN do it!! You ARE worth saving! My prayers are with you

Thank you. You are spot on with your assessment. I was married for 28 yrs. He was a wonderful and highly intelligent man Never put his hands me. Sadly, he passed.away in 2016 due to kidney failure. My point is, he lost a good friend at the hands of her abuser and my mom's best friend was murdered by her abuser. It's a hot button subject with me. At my mom's friends funeral, she went up to the abuser and quietly but firmly said I Know you killed her you son of a bitch. You'll pay for what you did. If not here, in the here after. We all know that abusers become most lethal when their victim has finally had enough and he realizes that she really is leaving him for good. That loss of control enrages them. What every woman in that situation needs to do is, if at all possible is, to buy a "piece" (it's metal and it discharges lead or sim metallic pellets. Policemen and women wear them on the belts of their uniforms), and learn how to use it. During which time, she needs to learn about "castle laws" (aka "stand your ground", "make my days" laws) the jurisdiction in which she resides. Also, she must learn about what constitutes legal self defense. This is of critical importance because this varies widely from state to state. I'm in the USA where fire arms are relatively affordable and easy to obtain. If you're overseas, all I know is those laws are much more strict and you MUST find out what legislation is in place Hence this would only apply to ppl in the USA). If he breaks into your new place in a drunken rage at 2:30 am, it will likely come down to your life, the lives of your precious children, or your mother and father (abusers LOVE threatening their victims with harming family members), or his MISERABLE life, what would you do? Oh I KNOW what I'd do, with out a 2nd thought. This BS about keeping the heat in one room and ammo in another won't do much good. Keep it ready to use and easily accessable (always keep the safety on until you need to use it. Sorry to sound so futile, and as unfortunate as it is, it could come to that. If something happens to you, grandma and grandpa don't automatically get the kids. Don't think that for a minute. Those kids will go to HIM and HIS family. Do you want HIM and his violent self raising your kids? Oh, BTW, keep in mind, a good majority of wife beaters are also sexually deviant. If you have daughters, there's a good chance he'll molest them if he isn't already. Ya can't protect em' if you're not here. I don't promote violence, I'm not a gun or 2nd amendment flag waiver. I'm just telling it like it is. So many women have to deal with being beaten, threatened, humiliated on a daily basis. Those who muster the strength and courage to leave and who make it out alive and those who die trying, I pray for healing and comfort and for your self sufficiency. For those who feel trapped, please reach out any way you can. There are people, resources and networks out there who CAN and WILL help you regain your freedom and restore your self worth. Above all else, NEVER GIVE UP!!! When it seems hopeless, you MUST become the hope!
