As someone who doesn’t practice organized religion, I still will never understand how someone can be disrespectful enough to pull off someone’s hijab/niqab. With that being said, to answer your question, I would help you cover whether it be with my jacket or something else as I understand the importance of modesty in your religion 😊

As someone who covers my hair, I honestly couldn't imagine how horrible it would be if domeone pulled my scarf off my head, and if I say it happen to another woman I would run over there immediately to help her, if she still had her scarf I would help cover ger until she could fix it and if the person took it I would help her get somewhere like a woman's restroom until we could find something for her to cover her head. I would also sit with her until the authorities arrived if she wanted because that is at the very least harassment, assault in a lot of places, and quit possibly a hate crime, and I won't tolerate anyone being treated like that.

I'm the same. I tend to use a bandana instead of a scarf, but I can't help but keep an eye out when I see someone else veiled - people can be ridiculous. I'm more scared someone will try to pull off my scarf than get in my face about wearing one. I'll be right there with you waiting for the cops (if wanted), and make sure you can be safe, and re-cover. I'm horrible about standing up for myself, but won't hesitate for another.

If I saw someone taking a womans coverings off? First, immediately separate them from the woman so she's safe. Then help her cover her hair (and face if she's a Niqabi). Then remove her from the situation somewhere safe and stay with her until her family or friends show up. Also - write down everything that happened for the police statement, and make sure the woman and her family have my contact information incase the assault/harassment ends up in court or a tribunal. Because that is absolutely assault and harassment. Potentially a hate crime depending on the country.

There was that brief time a couple years ago where it was a "trend" for people to rip off hijabs so I started carrying an extra scarf in my backpack just in case it was ever needed. I'm pretty sure I got the idea from a reddit thread where women who wear hijabs said that is what they would want from a female helper (i.e. something to cover up with.)

That’s a very interesting question. If I saw somebody pull off a woman’s hijab a couple years ago, It would’ve meant nothing to me. But now that I understand the religion and why you wear it, it would honestly break my heart and I might have to break that person‘s hands.❤

Well, I can't say I agree with you and the reason you like to cover. Heck, I am a Pagan, you know we like to run around naked. We are oposites for the same reason. I believe it is honoring God showing I am proud of how he made me. However I know how you feel about it and why. I would come to your defense and help you cover up as fast as you could. It is really no different than someone walking down the beaching and snatching someone's bikini top off and people need to realize that things like are never acceptable.

My friend had someone try and pull her hijab off when we were out. We went out to eat along with her siblings, we were talking about work when suddenly these men in like their 50s sat down at the table next to us. They were making comments about hijabs and how weird they were. They started taking their straws out of the paper and shooting them at us. Like these guys were twice our age and they all acting like kids. One of them reached over to grab the paper but then decided to rip her hijab off. But she had pins and clips holding it on but it fell partially off. Her brothers got mad, her sister pulled her close and we all left the restaurant. There were other random people yelling at the jerks. When I looked back, the man that pulled on the hijab was yelling at someone

(as a girl) If it looked like she needed help then I'd try to stop whoever was pulling her hijab off, or either get her hijab back or give her something else to cover her hair up with, and proceed to tell whoever was pulling it off that they were being downright terrible and that probably counts as a hate crime. If she looked like she had stuff under control, then I would either let her do what she needed to do, or just yell at the person that tried to pull her hijab off (because again, that is just a terrible thing to do).

In my city, a man was killed on public transit for trying to prevent two hijabi women from being harassed a couple of years ago... When I saw this video I thought about him and his bravery. If I remember right, he succeeded and the women were ok. I don't want that hateful event to be the star in this thread full of loving and supportive people though.

This may sound ironic, but I have a deep respect for Muslim women who cover themselves even though I disagree greatly with Islamic beliefs. Having said that, if I saw anyone pulling off a woman's hijab, I would instantly go into protection mode and step in verbally and possibly physically. That's bullying, assault, and I won't stand by and watch it happen regardless if I agree with that faith or not. It's just common sense to step in for me.

That's hard to say. I would probably give her my abaya to cover her haid and nec. I tend to be modest under my abaya as well. The abaya is more of an extra layer for me to feel comfortable. Then i would probably proceed to fighting with her assailant. I am also a military veteran and lean to fighting probably more than I should.

No people are staring for sure. Most people aren't staring maliciously, it is from curiosity and interest but there are for sure many Canadians that don't like it and think that people should live as Canadians do when they are here to start a new life. It would be fair to ask what would happen to white Christians it they visited an Arabic country and didn't respect their customs? This guy clearly loves this woman for him to renounce his religion to marry her and then take up Islam. He hasn't fully embraced Islam because he has a submissive personality and relationship with his wife. I actually read up on Islam last night after watching one of their vids where she takes his water bottle to wash after using the restroom and learned that in Islam all penetrative vaginal sexual positions are acceptable but woman on top sexual positions are thought to make the man submissive and may cause latent homosexuality to come to the surface. I wonder if this is what has happened here? The submissiveness not him being gay. If I had to guess our man had never dated before he met his wife and immediately fell in love, sight unseen, and got married to the first girl that showed any kind of interest in him and he desperately wants to keep her happy which is not necessarily an Islamic thing to do at least not in public and probably not in most Muslim households. They seem very happy together but they are both very young and immature and should be dating and learning about one another rather than be married but I'm happy for them none the less of course and wish them the best. To be fair this is a YT persona not a true representation of how he runs his home and he may very well act more traditionally at home off camera. That being said the missus is also portraying a version of herself that won't bring "shame" to the family but after hearing them talk about Brazilian waxing and anal sex she may actually be less wholesome than she appears and could be wearing a crotchless lingerie set with suspenders and nipple clamps and be a real dirty Jinn in the bedroom. I wish them a lifetime of luck and love

Not exactly related but I was wondering if you could do a video about Garrett's choice to wait to see your face and the generalized culture that men are visually oriented and need physical attraction to find love. I'm really curious to hear thoughts about that, and how Garrett managed to not focus on the external appearance. Is it rare for a man to choose to wait to see the face of a niqabi?
