Flip Your Wig is a gorgeous powerful record full of all the genres and categories you can muster - power pop, post punk, fold acid rock revival, alternative punk pop…
All of Husker Du’s albums are special and so, so good, but Flip Your Wig stands out for us - superior songwriting, perfect execution, expressive and unique lyrics and sublime melodies.

Love how you mentioned Peter Prescott!! I love his vocals on his Volcano Suns albums. Husker du and the Suns were amazing bands.

Bob has those solid pop roots, in a way, the same as Charles from The Pixies.

Not that Grant doesn't as well, it just always felt like Grant was late 60's pop and Bob had that late 50's Buddy thing in his mind.

Foo Fighters, I always felt, was nearly completely influenced by Sugar's Copper Blue album.
