There is still something going wrong. After shooting this video, I'm thinking that perhaps the carb needle isn't always seating properly and at times floods the saw out with the quickness.

You know what's funny. I've had this situation before too. It was with a 192 top handle. I threw tons of money on it. I felt like I had replaced everything except for the plastics and it still bogged when it was warm. I gave up on it and use it as a parts saw. The bad part is is that it reminds me that I can't fix everything which pisses me off.

I know it sounds like fuel starvation but it could be air instead. I don't remember if you've already replaced the old auto decompression valve and tube to the normal style decompression valve and plug off the crankcase where tube was located. Plus replace the plastic intake boot clamp with a metal style clamp. Good luck Bodie, I'm sure you will get it.

My guess is impulse line in intake boot. It is temperature sensitive.

That is so frustrating when you just cant figure out wtf is wrong with it. Such a good saw too.

Now I only run big saws like the 395 and 372xp but I can tell it’s quite a bit lean on the low jet.

Doing what my outboard did all last summer. It’s was a carb issue caused by something (likely old fuel) causing the float to stick and dump to much fuel and not really being properly regulated. Being gravity feed, it would actually fuel lock the engine just sitting. Wouldn’t do it all the time but off and on all summer. I’d pul the carb and clean it and that seamed to fix it for a week or to but then the float would stick cause it to flood out again and it sounded just like that saw. Obviously that carb and a saw carb are completely different but the principle is the same. 👍🏼👍🏼

The most frustrating issues seems to happen to our favorite saws🙄

The original blackboxes and ht leads were a common failiure on these saws. Then there was the warlbro carb with accelerator pump( correct me if im wrong in describing!) Intake etc you know yourself anyway. Good saw nonetheless mr👍

👍👍 372 clone acted similar with a bad impulse- heated up, kinked when dogging hard. Different impulse set ups on those two. But, seems like it tends to shut off right after you make carb adjustments- just some food for thought. Maybe next time don’t mess with the carb and see what happens?

I definitely think its a fuel issue, almost sounds like vapor lock in a way. Definitely runs great when its not acting up on you.

Is the fuel tank vent clear?

I kinda thought the same thing but after he opened the gas 2 see how much fuel, it didn't start back. He was afraid of flooding it so only 2 pulls w/ choke after it died. If it is the tank vent, it(fuel) just didn't get 2 the carb w/ 2 pulls on choke after running out of fuel.
