Only just seen this. I am the new owner! I love the bike, it is fantastic. I have started to renovate it and eventually it will be resprayed the right colour.

Yo tuve también la versión refrigerada por aire, pero ya venía con mono amortiguador y freno de disco delantero. Su gran problema y el motivo por el que la vendí es el arranque, sobre todo en caliente, a veces casi imposible. También vibraba bastante, pero me encantaba. Saltando era un poco cabezona, y si no dabas gas ibas de cuernos, pero la horquilla era una maravilla. Las mejores suspensiones que he tenido. Si hubiera tenido batería o hubiera arrancado mejor, jamás la habría cambiado por la 690 enduro que tengo ahora. Saludos

I love this bike ! I have the latest version of this bike sort of... I have a 22 Husqvarna FE501. I wonder what the difference in power would be ?? Owning one of these would be a dream of mine. Both are 510cc.. I had an 83 Husqvarna WR430 2 stroke that was a weapon. Much quicker than my FE501 is. Obviously it didn't handle or stop as well. I wish that l never sold it now 😥

If you hold down the kill switch when you are priming it you wont have to kick it as much. If you kick it through with ignition on and comp release the plug fires and burns off the fuel that you need in the cylinder to get it to fire.

The trick is to pull the spark plug out ,, kick it over a few times to get some gas in the engine ,, put the plug in and start it
