I have the Husqvarna, and find it excellent! If it's handle was 4 inches longer, it would be perfect!

I like that Fiskars has lifetime warranty (in Finland ate least) never been able to break one tho...

I split 30+ inch pieces of oak with a splitting axe. It worked when the 8 pound maul wouldn't. The maul would just bounce off. Just have to work from the edges with the axe.

Looks like the Husqvarna splitter has a hammer type backend for driving those wedges in the big stuff.

I have the fiskars felling axe, it works great for both felling and splitting, good multi purpose axe

Expensive or cheap axe will have same result on chopping as long they both sharp ... The reason why expemsive axe looks more powerful is because of the fancy looking handle thats all...
