Poker ain’t gambling huh? This hand BIG JOHN folded 83, both cars that Luda needed. Sun folded 85. Another out Luda needed on his open-ender. So he just has two 8s and three 3. Meaning 5 outs left and spikes the 8 on the river 😂

Luda is a prime example of how you don't play well when you are playing above your stakes. When Luda was playing on Fridays he was getting wrecked and was playing only super premium hands, barely pre-flop raising anything. Basically he wasn't playing like how he usually plays. Then, as soon as he started playing again lower stakes, he started playing really well(back to his usual style of play). Stakes does matter and when you are playing above your normal stakes you can end up playing even worst.

Nick should be playing at a 1/3 or 2/5 table. Your Never getting 3 streets of value with JJ on that low, connected board with out being beat.

When Nick has Top set on the river: Isn't a shove better(or check fold), opposed to just snap calling any bet? He may as well get value from some hands that would check back

I think he was trying to induce Luda to bluff. Checking is probably superior, you'd need Luda to have a big hand there to value bet on the river and it's unlikely he has a set given how the hand played out. I'd never fold my hand there against Luda on the river.
