To be honest with you Hutch I think your the best "quick sniper" I have ever seen in my whole online career.

i just wanna know what is wrong with the gunship when i get it or steal it , it flys into the ground or goes off map it has happened after the patch

shaun can you possibly cover nades, stuns and concussions. your thoughts on the throwing arc, damage, blast radius and stun vs concussion vs nova gas? keep putting out vids like you are man!

I've been using steady aim to help with the random bullet when you scope in. Since they buffed it I might try getting scout pro for the faster swap.

About the max spread thing, its completely gone. I went quick scoping in combat training and when i scope in, it is about 0.1seconds of scope time untill i shoot and it always hits my targets.

@m0mbuster ya same u hold LT (xbox) or L2 (ps3) of like maybe half asecond then justas you go to let go you pull the trigger with either RT (xbox) or R2 (ps3) and also you have to centre your crosshairs on the target

i preffer to use the variable scope when i snipe because it feels like the scope comes up straight unlike regular scope seems to have a wierd scope in

This is great gameplay Hutch, and great commentary as usual. Just shows you don't have to go 50 - 1 with gunner to post good gameplay footage.

@Jogger1X1 I feel ya. I almost only played S&D on previous CODs but it isn't the same on this COD which I blame mostly on the RC car. They really need to make the RC car a 5 killstreak. Also, why did they take away the bomb defuse sound? Or nerf ninja?

As far as sniping setups go, I've been running Scavenger, Warlord with extended mags and ACOG sight, and Ninja (love the extra sound to hear people coming up on you). I've been able to rush pretty well with that setup.

did you hear what Blame Truth noticed ? PSG1 is a 1 shot kill stomach up if you dont use attachments after the patch ! I will start using that with a perk setup or ghost or scavenger, scout (fast swap helps when pro), and ninja. what do ya think ?

I keep steady aim on my sniper class just for close quarter situations and I found it helps with the scoping in a bit. Snipers are still a little off though.

Hutch, at 3:23 when you switch to your snipe and do the YY 'glitch' or whatever to get it out quicker. Have you noticed any problems with that since the patch? It seems like in some situations YY doesn't work now and it just switches back to my secondary.

Ghost Pro, Warlord Pro, and Hacker Pro. I have found this to be one of the best sniper setups I have ever tried. You get to have both the ex. mags and the variable zoom which is very nice if you are actually playing the role of a sniper.

I like scout pro and flak jacket when sniping and the makarov pistol is also good with extended mags.

@sketch4eva I think the reason is is because when you hace it on full auto it takes alot more rounds to kill somebody

@ASFALT21 that is actually a gamestyle called scout sniper or something like that. its actually pretty useful in black ops with all the sniper deal and with scout pro you can basiclly use any main gun as a sidearm.

it seems to me that the infra red scope has spotty accuracy on a good connection but on a 2 bar it seems better than normal

@TheZeus380 i dont use steady aim because i think hardened is SOOO much better, it reallllllllllly helps on collaterals and shit

My sniping setup is Dragunov w/ Variable, Ghost pro, Scout pro, Marathon pro. Sidearm is the last pistol w/ extended mags. Sniping isn't too hard once you get the hang of aiming for the upper chest/head. Also holding your breath just as you shoot reduces the recoil greatly I find.

to me, it looks like YOU are the guy who is using the sniper rifle like a carnage bringer.

my fav setup for the L96 is with the Acog, Ghost Pro, Sleight of Hand Pro and Marathon Pro... heaps of fun running around with it trying to cap and be aggresive as possible! always have a launcher as secondary now as i have contracted 'shoot-down-things-that-fly' disease... for more traditional sniper role i just swap out Marathon for Ninja, and chuck on a reg scope with ext mags as well...!

i hate how they patched the double Y to cut the animation when reloading cuz now i get killed every time i i do it because it changes to my secondary

Has any commentator talked about how connection affects gameplay? Sometimes I have moments where I really feel like i lost the battle cuz of my cheap connection. Like on my screen i shot him, on his killcam I didn't.

Yeah, I discovered that recently. Its like the hit box for snipers is an extra 12 inches around their person

I have noticed the reduction in the melee lunge (& thank god for that), but I have not noticed a difference in spawns or lag and for me, the matchmaking is all of the sudden slower than it was when the game 1st came out. As for the diamond delay, it doesn't exist. I have a video (which I'll attempt to attach here) of me getting an 18 kill chopper gunner on Jungle the day of the patch -- Matks (3arc guy in charge of enforcement I believe) saw the video & admitted he couldn't notice the delay.

is low sensitivity easier to snipe with? i play on 9 and im ok with it

@iiFeveR even though the CZ says its dam is high, i dont really think its high. don't get me wrong it's what I use, but it seems you get like 5-6 hitmarkers at a time

I'm not sure if you've tried this already but the PSG1 with no attachments I find is just as good as the L96A1 with the variable scope. You have much less recoil, and if you didn't get a great hit marker or if you missed it's very easy to get right back in and take down the target. The damage difference is unnoticeable, if not non-existent simply due to the fact that you are so precise all the time. Let me know if you've tried it I'm interested to know how you feel about the PSG1. vs. the L96A1.

do you have to buy this patch for the sniper or was it automatic???

my L96 set up is: variable zoom m1911 extended mags calymore or motion sensor (depending on what i feel like using) ghost pro scout pro or slight of hand pro(depending on how agressive i feel like being) hacker pro hope this helps

For mine Sniper, I use that classified one extended mag, PSG-9or something like that, with Scavenger, Steady Aim, and Nija. I use Steady Aim so if I get cought off gaurd atleast I have alittle bit of help with the hip fire.

As for patching spawn, I was playing earlier and ive still spawned multiple times in front of enemies, and its still annoying.

@Ngrandstaircase Is because the patch was prioritized on xbox 360 not to the ps3 or pc. but i only play xbox and im only telling you what i heard but i could be wrong.

The reduced knife lunge is very noticeable. I think the snipers just need one last process of fine tuning before they can be utilized aggressively.

errrmmm...i noticed Hutch said that he plays with 5 or 6 sensitivity when he is sniping, i just wanted to know if the sensitivity is higher on the X-box, because i play on the PS3 and i play with 10 sensitivity when im sniping and honestly...i find it a bit too slow...O.o

Hutch I want to thank you with all the info you give us. This and thoe other video you posted on the same day gave me alot information that i'm bout to go put to the test. So thank you for that. Now I want to suggest something to you. In this video you use the same set up as me. EXACT. But Instead of the CZ I use tha ASP. It shoots way fast and with a good trigger finger, you'll be accused of a modded controller. ;) Also has a fast reload time which I think makes up for the 8 shots. Thank you.

I hate that If some knifes me through my claymore. They set the claymore off but it doesn't kill them becasue they are knife ludging to kill me. It happened b4 the patch and has happened a cpl times to me since the patch

My set up is scavenger slieght of hand and marathon with the c753 or what ever it is with extended mags and claymore

what i did notice is that you cant quite scope super fast but if you know the guy is there and aim before he does then you have the kill, but definately has some undesired spread at times. I messed with it in combat training and its definately better but not perfect

i like steady aim for that no scope situations.

I run Ghost, Steady Aim and Ninja or Marathon. Variable scope as an attachment and Python with speed reloader as secondary. Frag, concussion and claymore. Seems to be a quite decent setup to use when sniping, at least for me.

i know this may not be your thing, but i've seen sooo many zombies gameplay. i personally, would like to see a zombies game from you. it doesn't matter what map or if it's solo or whatever. that would be my vote for a future vid.

the knife lunge is fine now but there is still a big lunge with the ballistic knife.

One time I spawned into the path of an already flying RPG. I watched the killcam, just to make sure, and it was definitely in the air before I spawned right in front of it.

@iluziionLGC Well, if you are playing like hutch is in this video, the regular scope is now better due to the new patch, but if you are hanging back and picking people off one by one, then the variable zoom

They should work on the hosting system. I was playing TDM and there were 2 guys in my sights (well one and one showed up) and right as I was about to turn to shoot the guy that showed up the host quit and I ended up dying because he was already aiming at me and I lost my 6-0 start.

I could never use the regular scope on the L96A1, I can only use the variable scope. I either use Ghost or Light Weight or Flak Jacket with Scout and either Hacker or Marthon.
