Hello, Rahul ji. My Baba and my Kaka are both revered fans of Pandit Bhimsen Joshiji and Pandit Vasantrao Deshpandeji. Both of them are worshipped in our family, they’ve been listened to live. Classical music has been one of the cornerstones in my family since 6-7 decades. However somehow, I’ve myself been unable to connect with that genre of music, or any other music, except the classic songs of Kishore da and Rafi saab. Perhaps because I do not understand it, it doesn’t get through. Your music however is so mesmerising that it elevates me to a space in my mind that I never knew existed. It’s scintillating, remarkable and timeless the way you not only sing the songs, but conduct yourself so gracefully as a human being. You are an inspiration to me and I shall follow your art till the day I exist on this planet. Thank you for unleashing this fury through KZfaq. Cannot wait for the day when I get to hear you live.
