@@YungHVAC Milwaukee, Wisconsin 👍👍 I was thinking about starting a second channel.( my KZfaq channel right now is about sharing scripture and the good news about what Christ did for us all). But I want to possibly start another channel about commercial HVAC. I primarily install duct and set huge air handler units on roofs in commercial and industrial buildings. At our company we have a set of guys primarily for service/ controls. In school we do learn some service and residential just to have the knowledge tho. The tools I use in the field are different than what you use usually so I would probably start with the tools we use as a HVAC commercial installer👍👍👍

I wish i knew about this field much earlier in life. I am into my first year doing commercial refrigeration. Minus the awful weather, it's an exciting trade. The tools you listed are good for beginners until your boss starts asking you for other tools like grease guns, hammers, pry bars, welding kits, ratchet wrenches, valve core removers, pipe cutters, manometers, leak detectors, manifold gauges, pipe wrenches, and the list goes on. Thanks for the video and may many more blessings come your way. God bless.

I’m not in HVAC. I work in an office, doing financial planning. I make really good money, but it’s soul draining work and I work for a company/boss that doesn’t appreciate me for the extended hours and constant on-call work. I am a handy-man type and I love working on things, been considering a career in HVAC. I love doing manual work and I feel like HVAC is a good career to get into. But a career change is a scary prospect because once I burn this bridge there’s no going back. It’s all or nothing. Good thing is that I’m a tool junkie and I already own almost all these tools. Got that going for me I guess.

Good video. 4yrs or so, commercial and residential. Once you got that Universal refrigerant certification start opening accounts at all the supply houses you can. Some stuff like vacuum pumps you just can't find at Home Depot (sometimes I can't even find regular tools there). Plus you'll get the recovery machine and tanks (You DO use those, right?) and welding torches. Soon enough you'll basically be your own company with all your own tools and just trade uniforms until you're the owner. :D

Good list, but for HVAC, I would definitely go with a multimeter that reads INRUSH CURRENT.

1/4 socketset with extra long sockets. Change out the wirenuts with WAGO, they are much better and more reliable. Isolated screwdrivers. Lock out set for circuit breakers. A ladder. Automatic wire strippers whit a cuter and a ferrule dispenser crimper. (all in one tool) A level. Good

Great video! Keep up the great content. Question, what’s the difference between the $91 multimeter vs the $40 multimeter?

What’s up yung hvac, so I started school recently and got a list of basic tools to get and have a few questions for you that you might be able to answer before I go ahead and as my instructer. Not the most tool savvy dude ( yet ) So I see that I may need some combination wrenches and was wondering if I should have both standard and metric or just one or the other. And when it comes to a digital thermometer if I should go for an infrared or a probe. And lastly I have a tool backpack and was wondering if I should have a regular bag in handy and/or a waist bag. Thanks for your help bruv.

Hello, first let's start by saying love your videos good quality a lot of great information. I myself turn 50 a few months ago and I want a new start by getting in HVAC. I'm currently studying to take the entry level NATE certificate exam and the EPA 608 certification. My question are there any other certifications that I can get on my own prior to having any HVAC experience that would help me land a job with an employer.
