Heat trace is an electrical system used to maintain or raise the temperature of pipes and vessels. The electric heating is achieved by utilizing a resistant element that is run alongside the piping or vessel. Current heat trace technology utilizes a self-regulating polymer that controls the wattage of the element.

You can also ring them out to ground.. any resistance to ground will tell you what wire is bad. Good job man!

Sorry to say but I had to put a comment here, underneath the tower you had a split in a box, in that box bare copper and charring on the wire, did you fix that?? Didn't see you fix that, didn't hear you mention you fix that. You should have started ohming out the faulty side, would have saved you a couple of walks back and forth. You moved that flexible part of conduit, you could have temporarily negated the fault and made a bad conclusion. Just letting the breaker pop is bad fault finding, it's guessing. Read the manual of you meter and discover new faultfinding ways. I'm sure there is a continuity check on that meter, use it.

I’d rather use an insulation tester on the wiring instead of having to try the breaker with live power. Seems to me like a much more safe way to work

First video i have watched of urs and it’s excellent. What is the correlation between volts and amps? Assuming amps r supposed to present with volts? What happens if the volts r there and not the amps? Thanks 🙏

This is what they teach in schools when learning about electricity. The correlation & take away would be as the voltage increases//Amperage decreases and vice versa - As voltage decreases//Amperage increases⚡Something to note: As the amperage increases so will your electrical bill!!!😅 Voltage is a measure of the pressure that allows electrons to flow, while amperage is a measure of the volume of electrons. It's quite tricky. I should make a video on ohms law🙂 Stay safe out there & subscribe for new videos every week🔧

THHN /THWN Stranded wire be better than that solid core wire. Looks like someone Didn't put the correct wire and put solid wire very terrible thing to put.

I very much agree with you! I ran solid wire before through conduit with bends as my boss didn't want me to buy stranded since I already had the solid in my truck and man oh man did I learn the hard way🤦‍♂️ Biggest pain in the butt and it was a mess. I understand to use it in places that code requires but man, I am NOT a fan of it haha I was wondering if this was correct. Thank you for the feedback & watching!
