Have the big e-pellet stove have for the last 12 years no problems, can load up with 160 lb of pellets depending on how cold it is, can adjust the heat controls.paid 600.00 for it, it's going strong.

The constant blower noise is annoying but the biggest problem is that if the power goes off you are out in the cold.

All of these units require electricity to operate. Power out? No heat. Wood stoves have a distinct advantage.

Question, do you know or do you think there are thermal eletric generators you can attach to the pellet stove where the stove would make it's own eletricity to power itself?

I have the Castle Serenity Stove 12327 and I'm very happy with it, look around for the best price on any stove your looking for. I got mine for $900 when it was on sale at ACE.

Pardon my ignorance...but, where are the hoppers

Other than cost...the most important issues WERE NOT COVERED: 1. installation: How? (flue/exaust) 2. Electric power: how close are any of them, to not needing electric power? These are key questions not even mentioned; nor costs.

Ventless propane heat beats this hands down. It’s 96% efficient with no electricity needed. I live in the U.P. of Michigan where power outages are common. I use a wood stove in the basement and a 40’000 BTU ventless propane fireplace to stay warm. You must use carbon monoxide detectors that are up to date at all times.
