i believe some of them probably dont like "bushes war" and try to avoid it by fighting in some clean sandy space... funny fact is if they win theyr local battle they still have to go fight the "bushes war" still, an assault mode with an historical orientation on Overlord will probably be one of the most unbalanced experience u can imagine in WOT

played with a player who said he won 87% of overlord matches because his team won the beach and tried to get the whole team to go beach. 46% WR I tried to explain how beach was a bad idea (isolated, everyone is above you, takes too long to push, bottlenecks) Didn’t work he claimed that he recorded every battle on a spreadsheet with victories/defeats where the team went. I asked for his spreadsheet but never sent it

It does not have to be defended. If your heavies go there and the enemy heavies don't, the rest of the map will collapse before you realise that and go back up and you will get farmed from above by meds on the cliff. Even if both teams send some forces to the beach and battle is kind of equal, the winners on the beach will get farmed by base defenders when trying to advance from the beach.

Only new and bad players go to the beach and destroy for their team. Just click report on them.

i dont think it's harder to play or not funny but just not winning option. for what ive understand the main factor is beach part of the map are very low ground. it implicate several things : - if u win the beach, u are allowed to attack but u gonna climb very slowly, ennemy can relecotate for waiting u, and u always finish been bellow ur opponent wich is not good for armor effectiveness - if u let the beach open, and stay on the main part of the map, u can go very quick with some mates on isolate or wounded ennemy, or waiting they climb slowly in corridor too shoot them a recent exemple i see : one guy on each side on the beach, ennemy top tier Lowe win is duel easily and start coming to ur half part of the beach, with a second rank 7 not in platoon with me, we run on it on separate way and eat it without problems... and u always coming with more speed, allow some ram and increase ur mobility for circle manover globally being on top help u to control engagement and it's not the only map, but this particular flank is very bad. u have lot of "HV sides" that need to be contest but where u often CANT push immediately after winning it : highway, malinovka, mannerheim, glacier... especially if the brawl was close and ur brigade is wounded

To summarize, pushing beach is slow, and requires you to push up a hill into double high grounded crossfire (death, because the enemy will have easily spotted you from 3 line and can reposition from anywhere to stop it, or just push and cap out from up top)

Technically it was the SP IC that had the 3 shot autoloader, before the HWK 12 was added (still the same T8 matchmaking though).
