They say they gave it to corporates, to boost the economy. No single investor wants to enter India. They are selling insurance. They tried to sell AirIndia, no body was interested. No single bidder. Read and research more before you blindly follow some one. India is not about congress and bjp. Any body who wins, should do good to the country. It was during P Chidambaram's time as finance minister that India clocked the second highest GDP figure (10.08% in 2006-07). The average GDP was also the highest during his tenure at 8.37% between 2004 -08. So he knows what he is talking about.

During 2 terms of the UPA rule, India had the largest shift of people globally from BPL to APL through the Nrega program, which again has been devastated by the current regime. So instead of being a rampant follower, question the government and ask them why the country is doing so poorly when global projections for a nation like India was positive during 2014. Let’s admit as per your statements that the congress government was bad for India, why has the new government made it worse ? Sitra Ever correction.. Modi hasn’t improved a single thing and has destroyed what was good. Fragile five isn’t a term that suits an economy growing at 9% approximately despite rising fuel prices. Dollar per barrel was at its lowest since 2015 and yet no benefits were passed on to the general public or investments made for development. Now if you think I’m gonna whitewash the Congress government or Chidambaram, think again. I’m a fan of no party and will question everyone equally. Only difference is during the upa regime, dissent and debate were still considered essential aspects of democracy and the government didn’t object or use state machinery to beat down people. Today half the country has been asked at least once to go to Pakistan. We are a democratic secular republic. Breaking that is driving a nail into the spine of India. This government does not like to be held accountable. Every independent government agency has been compromised. Doesn’t matter if bjp wins or loses an election, they’ll buy MLAs and form a government, completely disrespecting the people’s mandate. And you think they’re here to make life better for you ?

All monies of PSUs, including banks looted out. One of the direct results of this loot is used in creating 7-star BJP headquarters, and hundreds of dazzling district offices around India. @Sitra Ever yet people in those companies weren't laid off or forced to retire as they are now :) All institutions promoted by the office of the President of India have suffered, please look at sharp decline in PSUs now and relative consolidation then. Air India,BSNL will always be a loss making business as upfront costs are too large and the corporate governance required to generate adequate ROI is not present but it'll also provide gainfull employment to thousands.
