@@CaedesGladio I wouldn’t be as worried about glint in a close range engagement such as home defense, considering you’re in my house the last thing I’m worried about is the reflection of my optic. Rather, my corners, having adequate lighting (I.E. a mounted flashlight) and easy target acquisition. If your home intruder is 300 yards away, maybe. But for home defense I find a honeycomb redundant. Edit. Misread what you said. And absolutely agree.

Cqb is objectively dumb, the only way you can realistically survive that type of scenario is to either frag the room until there's no sign of life or get heavy ordnance to the level the building, the military learned this the hard way in falluja

How to not see Honeycomb: 1. Two eyes opened 2. Fixate both eyes on the target 3. Close one eye then the other subsiquently opening previously closed eye 4. Your left eye (if your a right hand firer) will see the holographic projection of the sight 5. Train on doing this

You can totally block the red dot with tape in the front and as long as you have both eyes open, you are target focused, and you can still see the red dot, you can still use the red dot because of the way your brain combines the two images it gets from both eyes. This won't work with a magnifier but the point is that if you can block out the front of the red dot with a solid obstruction and still be able to use it effectively, you can most certainly use a honeycomb

Its only a problem in video games and cameras because they usually don’t focus correctly past the hexcomb and instead just obfuscates vision. Real eyes can see through it like a microwave door or pulling a shirt over your head and you see through the little holes.

I can still aim with a holo if it is covered. Two eyes open, your other eye paints the holo over what you see. So a killflash won’t inhibit your ability to see your sight picture unless you’re using improper technique. I am not claiming to be an expert, but I know what I know.
