How to correctly install a distributor on a Suzuki 1.3L or 1.6L engine. Often a confusing topic... But it doesn't have to be! These easy to follow steps will make the project go smoothly.

First time changing my timing belt and adjusting valve clearance on my Samy. Had to remove the distributor to get the cam cover off and I spent half of the afternoon to figure out why it wouldn't start ! Almost set that bast*** on fire as I was loosing my nerve ! You just saved my day man !!🙏

A hand full of tools new belt and tensioner spring. 30 minutes of my time and the timing belt is replaced . Man I loved doing timing belts on them.

I just got done engine swapping a new to me engine in my tracker - If I was smart I would have changed the distributor seal while it was out .... I'm not a smart man Jenny

Hi Tony any chance you could do an interior steering column removal video? Fairly sure I need to move mine out of the way, to put my reassembled manual pedal box back in as theres not enough room 🤔 cheers.

Great video thanks! My mechanic didn't even know it was set off the 4th cylinder. Thought #1. Ugh And because of that was calling #4 the number one...double ugh!!!

Tony I bought the o ring for the destributer but I couldn't get it to fit. Is there a trick to getting the destributer to seat past the new I ring? 95 Geo Tracker 1.6 liter 16 valve 5 speed.

So I have the sprockets all lined up. But why do I have my #1 on compression and my #4 on exhaust? Do I need to rotate the cam a whole 360?

Soo, would timing make it sound like it's draining battery? Like a power draw with no fire? Any help would be greatly appreciated, about to pull distributor on my 1.6L8V hope this vid does the trick.

Hi, thanks for your video! When my timing tabs are lined up, the no. 4 cylinder is at TDC on the exhaust cycle. So lining the distributor up there wouldn’t make sense. But my car isn’t starting did I do something wrong?

Easier to pull it out and spin the rotor instead of the gear, you can feel the gear engagement makes moving one tooth easy.

That number 4 piston is number 1 looked at real dealers book find number one injector shows it in the position where your number four piston is at what people call number four piston is Ashley number 1 piston 😊 same with cap

You're confusing #1 "injector" for #1 cylinder. Look at the factory service manual again and you'll see your mistake
