Hello! I suggest putting the unused desks in between the used desks. I didn't add a chair to those and are currently being used as place holders to avoid the cluddder around the class.

It makes me so happy that you are able to be in person at least a little bit. I’m a high school senior and have been hybrid all year with half days and cyber Mondays. I live in Pennsylvania where it is impossible to have guidelines this strict (the bubble shields, no moving, etc), so we have been able to move around the classroom. Some parents started getting frustrated because every other district in our region is back full time now. There was an emergency board meeting last night, and luckily, they voted 9-0 to stay hybrid. Our superintendent is retiring so he is able to be the bad guy. If we were to have fully reopened, it would’ve involved cutting Easter short by three days, adding three days to the end of the year, requiring admin to work over Easter, and compensating them for that time. Not to mention uprooting kids from what we’ve been doing for three quarters. Amazingly, some psycho parents on Facebook are still pissed.

If they are in columns (one behind the other) couldn’t one kid turn round to socialize (they’ll still have a shield between them and space)... then they can probably also see the front? And can you give them each an extra desk for space? Helps mine stay apart from one another and helps with storage! Easy cleaning.

We got plexiglass (teachers) and we don’t use it and the (students) didn’t get any. We are back full days and 5 days a week now and try to be 3 feet the new guidelines
