Nice ! Just a week back drove to Srisailam from Bangalore appx 525 kms . Srisailam is much closer to Hyderabad and the route is also more scenic than the Bangalore route and the condition of the road also appears to be much better. The Ganapati temple just before main town is known as Sakshi Ganapati who is a witness for devotees visiting Srisailam and the belief is he informs Shiva who all have visited the Jyotirlinga. Visited last week from Surat to Srisailam by personal car.. Overall great experience 2500+ kms. Due to Sharad Poonam lot of traffic there otherwise its highly recommended to visit this place.

That sarige bus literally takes 16 hours to reach Bengaluru via Kurnool, Guntakal and Ballari and it is the only cheapest bus available to Bengaluru from Srisailam. pre-covid there was a sarige bus @ evening 7:30pm which used to reach Srisailam next day @9am via Anantpur, Kurnool, Atmakur. Non-AC sleeper was added post covid.
