Hydra Bob is the first Spotlight card of the Deadpool season of Marvel Snap and it is definitely one of the cards of all time. His premium statline still lags behind Titania and Martyr but will his unique ability make up for it? This is the first card to ever mention the snap mechanic so we might have more cards like this coming in the future. Watch this video to find out my card review for Hydra Bob and see some deck gameplay with him. I guess I’ll actually have to snap in order to make his ability work. Hydra Bob decks are probably limited in variety - I only really see Kazoo and maybe a move deck working with him.

I feel like the developers KNEW what they were doing by putting him in spotlight caches with galactus

You can always tell when the devs know they're releasing a stinker based on the other cards in the cache. If the new card is good, the others are bad (or have been in spotlights 50 times) and vice versa.

I actually played the exact deck but with martyr last season and believe me she is better in THIS deck. You usually fill 2 locations so her move doesn't matter.

Im glad when Snap youtubers tell us when a character is garbage because y'all kinda just win anyway because of deck building and memorising so many scenarios. I think he'll get a buff in the next few months.

Hydra Bob only works if he continues to move randomly throughout the game. That way the risk to reward is worth it.
