I have 3 HydraPak products. My favourite being the Hydrapak Stow Bottle 1L as I use it buy stowing it in my thigh pocket of my ski pants. No matter how cold I have just enough water for hard charging resort days so I can stay out of the lodge and mob all the powder lunch goers miss out on.

Good call on the placement. I am a big fan of small water bottles on my person too. They make great products as well. I use a .5 liter in a chest pocket when hiking, to get water to our dogs. Much more convenient than pulling a bottle out of a backpack.

Can I get a longer spigot and drink from it out of a backpack like a Camelbak?

You can unclip the hose that is included and clip in the longer hose from an existing hydration bladder if you have one. The connection points are pretty standard between multiple manufactures.

Nothing better to transport your Water. Hydrapak FTW They should make a big, clear Map Pocket from this Material
